Description

Virtual Lucy ™ (Let Us Connect You) is a platform designed to match patients needing specialist care with the correct medical expert. It is a virtual outpatient solution offering video and online consultations at a time convenient to you. It has been designed by clinicians with over 10 years’ experience of designing and running virtual services.

Our native smartphone app, developed in partnership with Physitrack, provides access to book and attend appointments with our specialists. The app includes advice on how to stay fit and active and connects you to our team if you need any additional support.

For patients who have been recommended an exercise program, you can watch the exercise videos and track your progress, asking questions on exercises that you are uncertain about. These can be viewed both online and offline once logged in for the first time and you can set reminders so you keep on track with your recovery.

IMPORTANT - This app will only be able to help patients who have been explicitly referred to Virtual Lucy™ from another NHS service, or by their private medical insurer. It is important to seek medical advice before using this app and making any medical decisions. It is not intended to directly diagnose any condition and is not suitable for anyone needing emergency medical attention or for anyone under the age of 18.

Virtual Lucy Reviews

Not useful

I use virtual Lucy on my computer and it’s great however thought the app would be good so I can check on appointments etc while away from my desk. How wrong I was! I can’t even work out how to log in. I think they need to look up to he definition of an app. This isn’t even a front page to direct you to the log in page on the website. I’m not even sure it deserves one star as it is definitely not fit for purpose

Useless app

Not sure of the point of this. The only part that is needed is appointments and that directs you back to a webpage. Terrible app.

Fails at what it’s supposed to do

All I downloaded this for was to view my exercise plan on my phone. It doesn’t show it. Therefore it is pointless

Woeful and depressing

This app should never have been released and it not fit for purpose. It’s difficult to navigate, information displayed is out of date or incorrect and there’s no obvious way to progress, manage or plan your recovery. It winds up being acting as a clunky and inaccurate record of your treatment which you can’t change at a time where user is unwell and wants to improve

Advice from someone who’s wasted a lot of time

Don’t waste your time with the app, don’t waste your time trying to do video appointments on your phone, just do it all through a computer and it works fine

Handy when done right

I had a running injury that was discussed on a video call. They then sent through three exercises for me in this App. It’s pretty easy to follow and I like the videos. Presentation is just ok and the progress tracker is a but confusing. I have been doing the exercises daily but my adherence seems low. Still pretty good.

Terrible service

Had a calf issue, but there was no option for this, so put down knee issue. The app didn’t have an option to book so I had to phone. I then got an appointment in 4 days time which was cancelled and rebooked once without telling me. Now awaiting 7 days to hear about the recommended physio. But the app game me a programme of depressing and breathing exercises :-)

Pointless

As with other reviewers, I was pointed to this by AXA Health Insurance. It’s a complete waste of time. Ambigous instructions, no clear information on how you will be assessed. Weird app icon. If you get told to use this just insist on talking to a clinician, otherwise you’ll waste time.

Terrible

If I open a document there is no option to go back to the previous page, as it’s clearly taking me out of the app. Logging in every 2 minutes is a complete pain. The exercises bear no relation whatsoever to the condition I’m being treated for.

Useless

TJ321654 on

Gives generic excercises rather than specific ones. Doesn’t work when trying to book an appointment; sends you to AXA to log in and then AXA send you back to the app to book. The app then sends you back to AXA and round and round you go.
