I came back to the app after a while and my villagers had all passed so I had to pick 5 new ones. I spent over an hour trying to improve one of the villagers in order to make her a master of all the skills. I unlocked the Kraken puzzle and the app did one of those absolute annoying pop ups asking if “I’m enjoying the game” and if I want to rate it or write a review. My app glitched out, brought me to the App Store and when I tried to go back into the game all of my villagers were gone and it made me pick 5 again so now I have to restart alll over on trying to make a villager a master of all skills just because of the annoying pop up asking me to write a review so now I’m writing a 1 star one.
Thank you for fixing this game and updating it! It works on my phone now. And I love the new little add-ins you put.
I just spent $1.99 buying stones to do some stuff, and then the game crashed and restarted back to before I bought the stones. So I payed for something and now I don’t even have it 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I just installed the game, opened it, waited for it to load up and now I am just stuck on “audio initialized”. As much as I would love to explore the game, I can’t. I’ve tried closing and reinstalling the game, but I’m met with the same problem.
The story takes a long time to play out
Every time I load in, all the dead villagers that we cleaned up last time are on the ground again, plus all the people who made it to adulthood since the last time I played, which was less than an hour ago. I can’t get the ads to play after a key event, and then the game freezes so I have to close out without keeping the benefits of that event. Also it’s very hard to get any technological advancement going In a strange turn of events I’ve started playing this game on the x box instead and I’m no longer having those issues, but thank you for getting back to me anyway!!
It’s fun to check in on my villagers, and I don’t run out of things to do when I’m actively playing the game, thanks to job rotations and puzzled and trading. It’s so much fun!! I started playing VV1 and was hooked immediately. I’m easily charmed by that early computer game type look and play styles- games now are too polished for my taste. I was thinking this would be a little too polished but it’s kinda perfect.. love the extra customization, improved island, resource gathering, tasks that are specific to certain ages or roles (keeps me on my toes and making sure I have a diverse island) Overall it’s also keeping me coming back to make sure my villagers don’t all die and I have to restart!! I literally think “aw, shoot, I gotta go make sure Kawaku is alive and Aba isn’t SLACKING OFF AGAIN.” Real fun, real addicting, real charming. 10/10
It’s very disappointing to put money and time into a game, expecting to be able to play it for a long time, only to discover that the game effectively ends after chapter 2. There are no more puzzles, nothing to do, no secrets, noting. There is text that implies there is more coming, which I trusted so I felt comfortable spending money, only to discover that judging by the forums, the fundamental base game hasn’t really received new content since 2017. It’s 2023….. if you’re going to play it, just be aware it ends abruptly, and unsatisfactorily. Ignore any in game text that implies more is coming. I’ll check back in a decade.
The original VV games are great! I’ve been playing them off and on since back in the day when the full version required a key. I’ve longed for the day when I could play these games on my phone. But THIS?! No. -Ads that randomly pop up when you’re trying to get one of your villagers to perform a task. Not to mention, some the ads make me want to throw up! (No, I’m not in to popping pimples or cleaning out your ears!) -The sheer amount of tech points needed is beyond ridiculous! -Most of my adults have died from poisonous frogs, because all of kids grew up? I’m guessing? Overnight, I might add…hello, where is the slow speed?! -No, I will not buy the bird or the lemur because using real money in a virtual game is stupid, and I shouldn’t have to in order to keep my villagers alive! -I can barely read what my villagers are doing, on my iPhone 14 PM, as the line button to swipe my app upwards is in the way. -Crafting times are ridiculous, plus trying to guess what combination is going to make what. -The mosquitoes are a nuisance. Sit my villager down, and all of a sudden they run away because of mosquitoes! So dumb. -Gathering! Why on earth would you make that something to master, and yet, not be able to set it as their specific chore to focus on?! Speaking of, they barely even stay focused on their specified chores, cuz they wanna go “Wash their face” or some other meaningless task. -They actually have to go into the love shack, before producing a baby. I understand that adds reality to the game, but honestly, waste of time. Things I like: -They are given last names. -Builders can easily be mastered, as they are in a constant state of “maintaining.” Deleting the game due to all the reasons I’ve already said. Maybe if you weren’t trying be greedy fat cats, the game would actually be fun. Sad to see this great game turned into a money-hungry app just like so many others out there!
