“Best music theory learning app out there. I just want to say this app is completely amazing and an incredible amount of work must have gone into this. I have been looking for an app just like this to complete my learning between music classes and this has everything I need and more. I highly recommend!” —BigMat74, Oct. 20, 2023
"Absolutely phenomenal. This is better than any YouTube video, podcast, or music theory book I have read. Within 48 hours using this app I have actually comprehended what is being taught far beyond any previous comprehension for past products. Honestly they could charge more than double the amount and it would be totally worth it." —Artice, May 3, 2022
"It's obvious a lot of time, love and energy has gone into this app. It's very well thought out, easy to follow and keeps you coming back for more. The developer is super friendly and answers any questions you have. It's clear he has a real passion for what he does and genuinely wants to help out. Awesome work all round" —thatboyswiss, Jan. 8, 2019
"I have probably spent thousands of dollars perfecting tone on pedals, instruments, amps and apps, posters, printed media, online courses. The BEST PURCHASE has been your Waay app." —A.P., Apr. 1, 2020

Im glad I have picked up this great little app. 30 days in and I know the major and minor scales inside out. The method works and it isn’t dull. Great small dev app! Totally worth it.

Good App, and finally new lessons.

Great app. It’s a good and fast way to learn the theory. And it is easy to understand with exciting quizzes at the end of every lesson. Hopefully it won‘t last another 2 years for the next courses. In a previous message I wrote the app would not function anymore on iPad. I solved the problem the common way. Deleting the app and reinstalling. Everything is fine! Thanks for the quick answer.

Fehlerhaftes Lehrmaterial!

Ninamotore on

Ich will mein Geld zurück. Nicht nur deswegen. Die Lehrvideos bilden meist nur den gesprochenen Text ab, Klangbeispiele gibt es keine. Schade (und unverschämt), dass man kostenpflichtige Apps nicht erst testen kann!

disappointing for anyone that is not a total newbie

The presentation and excercies in this app are good, but nothing too special. There are a handful of explanatory videos, you would learn more by just watching a 20 minute music theory video on youtube. You have to pay for each course seperately, which is too much for the little content imo. The main downside for me is the fact, that you are only given the very very basic tools for song writing, essentially explaining major scales, minor are explained om a side note and given the hint „practice and try stuff“. That‘s about it.

Gute App

Hält was versprochen wird.

Fun and super helpful!

I've been playing guitar for 15yrs and wanted to brush up my theory knowledge and this app is a super fun and helpful tool. Great courses with just the right mix of short (<2min) audio lessons and interactive quizzes. I bought both courses and would do so again! Thanks!

Incredible app, better than conservatory

Jon22225151515 on

I am a former music student that studied piano at conservatory, but my theory had grown weak in the years since I graduated. I was looking for an app to brush up on it and I was blown away by Waay. I hated theory in college - it intimidated me and I was bad at it since my high school teachers never focused on it. This app has me actually looking forward to practicing it and doing the exercises, which is something I never thought I would say. The content is top notch, but the actual app design is beautiful as well. I barely ever leave reviews but this app is just wonderful in every way. Thank you to the developer; you’ve made my life a little bit better because of your work.
