Description

Take control of one of the most technologically advanced armies in the Imperium - The Adeptus Mechanicus. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, you’ll lead the expedition on the newly rediscovered Necron planet of Silva Tenebris. Customize your team, manage resources, discover long-forgotten tech, and control your Tech-Priests’ every move.
Your every decision will shape the missions ahead and ultimately decide the fate of the troops under your command in over 50 hand-crafted missions. Choose your path carefully - the Imperium depends on it.
Augment:
Flesh is weak! Upgrade your Tech-Priests with weapons, support items, Servo-Skulls and other mechanical augments as you assemble your cohort. Customize your team’s disciplines, choosing from multiple character classes to create a squad for every playstyle.
Difficult Decisions:
Make tough decisions that will forge the future from your Ark Mechanicus, The Caestus Metalican, and send you towards alternate endings for a truly unique playthrough. Be warned, however, the more you explore each tomb, the greater the rewards but also greater the threat.
Unique Tactical Combat:
Engage in immersively strategic combat that will test your mettle under the extreme pressure of the xenos ambush. Access your most powerful weapons and abilities by using Cognition Points and advance on your enemy without pause. Fear not, the Omnissiah favours the brave.
Canticles of the Omnissiah:
Collect in-game achievements and be rewarded with strong abilities that can be used once per mission to aid you in the heat of battle.
The Library of Immersion:
A compelling story written by Black Library author, Ben Counter, specifically crafted to fit the unique personality of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction, with each character having their own personalities and agendas. Feel the tension and admire the devotion with unique visual effects and breathtaking audio.

Warhammer 40 Reviews

Passable

Shukur on

United Kingdom

It’s alright, but fairly mediocre and tedious, and it compares poorly to competitors like Xcom. I find all Kalypso games to be similarly lacking though, and the default Warhammer lore to be shallow, so you may feel differently if you’re a Warhammer fanatic.

Great game - no crashes here

I’ve always been a fan of the war hammer 40k universe and enjoyed the likes of space wolf and deathwatch games. This is a bit of a different take and is a slow starter but once you get a few missions it it becomes difficult (in a good way) and quite tactical, with a really customisable upgrade system. It reminds me of crying suns but ground based rather than space based battles. Battle system is x comesque without the cover system and the probabilities, but there’s more freedom with what you can do each turn, which makes it a different tactical experience. Quite a steep learning curve like XCOM as well. I’m on an iPad Pro 2020 and no crashing issues whatsoever, maybe the stability fixes have stopped these? Seems to be one slight bug, you don’t seem to lose any black stone when your tech priests are injured, it comes up that you do but it doesn’t actually seem to get counted. Would recommend this to fans of the universe, seems to be pretty faithful to the lore with interesting gameplay. No pay to win either which is refreshing.

Crashes

Experience at least a single crash throughout a mission, but otherwise a well rounded game with nice graphics for iOS

Just not enjoyable.

AnnoyingNickNameNecessity on

United Kingdom

User interface is very confusing. Not at all intuitive. The battle system and the gameplay just aren’t enjoyable. Wishing I hadn’t paid for this now.

Impossible to play

MartinsRoom on

United Kingdom

Looked like a really good game but glitches awfully and the first encounter is unplayable due to layering artefacts and colour issues. Waste of money.

Love it but keeps crashing

lechwalla on

I love the game and its perfect 90% of the time. but I keep having crashes during combat sections of the missions.

Cannot play first encounter

Thagomiser on

United Kingdom

Have been really looking forward to this on iOS but it is bugged on the first encounter. Some sort of visual problem, everything is black and blue and you are unable see what is happening or interface with the game. Shame. Am using iPad Air 2. Is that a problem? Doesn’t say anywhere that it is.

Completely unworkable

jimbo5002 on

United Kingdom

This game completely fails at the first encounter. There is a total breakdown of the screen layers and format. It is completely unworkable, and impossible to progress! Do not download this game until the developers acknowledge, and tackle the problem.

Very fun but has some issues

Mrenyds on

United States

Fun game, some crashes. UI issue renders the game unplayable late game. If you have too many abilities on your priest you can no longer press the end turn icon due to it being stuck behind the camera rotation buttons. iPad mini.

Absolutely [slow & unplayable]

JosephArthur on

I have. All the gamesworkshops miniatures [as much as I can afford $$ ]. I thought this would be something good. - Absolutely not good at all. Far too clunky interface and game play. Movement is way constrictive or non existent
