Warhammer Quest

Nice turn based strategy, nothing spectacular. Nice to play few rounds and put aside again. Absurd thing about this game is if you want only one fully upgraded champion it cost €99,99. That’s crazy, so if you want 3(amount you play with) it’s 299,97. And the game is nothing special, decent fun maybe. Not more.

Starts of as a fun game with short missions which are winnable and progress you through the main missions. After a couple of those your “champions” aren’t champions as much because they become outranked by the enemy. This means you have to grind and grind and grind some more to even get through another level. Now, this is fine as it’s a free game and I get they entice you to buy packs witch weapons en exp to level your champions, but even after you fork over cash the balancing quickly becomes bad again. Also some enemies just seem overpowered without an obvious weakness which you can target (might be only me because I have 9 champions, but only four different types). So yeah, I can recommend this game for the short period before the balancing issues start to pop-up. Oh, and one other remark: Perchang please make a sequel to the WH40K Deathwatch game. That one was awesome. And since there are 2 Warhammer Quest titles and Silver Tower, it seems time for a 40K title again.

Loved previous version. And I totally get why it got turned into a version where they can keep charging you money. But there’s absolutely no variation between quests. The loot is terrible. There is no continuity... after a one minute quest there trying to seduce you with adds... so you can double your terrible loot. Main suggestions: Create continuity! No one wants to be interrupted every 1-2 minutes! Make enemies drop a little bit of loot for a more rewarding experience. This also enhances the ways the game can be played. Give more characters in the beginning of the game. So you can create your own team/style. Positive: love the graphics!

Update recentie: Na updates van het spel werkt het een stuk beter heb geen last gehad dat levens niet meer gehaald konden worden. Begon als een leuk spel. Maar blijft vast lopen en later steeds bij het zelfde stuk zodat je gewoon niet verder kan En daileys niet kan halen!

Silver Tower provides a quick and fun taste of the Warhammer Quest board game. I have no complaints about the gameplay. However, Warhammer is all about factions and characters. The devs seem to understand this and so they have opted to make character acquisition their main source of income. It’s okay, I guess. Lots of games do the gacha thing. But when the only option is to grind and gamble or pay $20 for a single character, it starts to feel ridiculous. If there was an option to pay a flat price for all the characters, or even just all the characters in a particular grand alliance, it would be much better and I’d probably still be playing.

I like this simple game. Latest ‘upgrades’ introduced much more valuable rewards. However, quests and campaign progress are fraught with bugs. Most runs the game freezes and I lose all progress. This never happened in previous builds

There’s a lot of grinding involved to get enough character tokens to unlock character level limits needed to beat the game. Or spend a stupid amount of money paying to unlock those level caps. Part of the grind is neigh endless multiplayer PvP (or I suspect Player vs. Bot) battels that freeze and crash frequently when you so much as tap on certain opponents characters to target them. Still annoyingly fun and I really love the artwork. Shame it’s such money till.
