WeatherX Forecast Reviews

Not working

Sash2025 on

I bought the earplugs and downloaded the app. The app incorrectly identified my location. I tried to correct it but I could not type more than three letters in the search bar. The app is useless.

This is real! Leave them in way after change ends!

I have used these since summer 2024 at my neurologist’s recommendation . It is a game changer. I also get Botox Migraine and use prescription monthly preventative plus prescription meds for breakthrough migraines. Even if you just have the information to take your migraine preventative, the earplugs will save you from a lot of suffering.. my only advice is you’ve got to leave them in for several hours after the changes end. My brain needs a few hours of time for my brain to adjust to a new barometric pressure. otherwise I get a migraine as soon as I pull out the earplugs. You do want to have an extra pair on hand, as they will wear out after 84-96 hours use. Choose the low-profile so you can sleep in them.

Weather X will change your location and then will not let you enter the correct location. For instance, Colorado always loads when in fact I am in Florida when working correctly it is great

So appreciate the weather x app and it’s notifications of upcoming pressure changes to prepare for my migraines. It would help to possibly have the graph extended to 12 or even 24 hrs to better assist with accuracy in sensitivity settings for notifications. But otherwise a very helpful app :))

Helpful for Long COVID and POTS

I can’t speak to the effectiveness of the ear plugs and have only used the app, but it’s the only place I’ve found that will provide both a forecast and history for barometric pressure. For those of us with health issues that flare up with major pressure changes, it’s helpful to get alerts when a change is coming or to be able to look at what’s been happening with the pressure to understand if it’s responsible for a recent change in symptoms. I’ve recommended this to several fellow POTS and Long COVID patients after a sudden weather front led to really quick and scary cognitive symptoms that basically put me out of commission for half a day. The app or earplugs may not be able to prevent to treat everyone’s symptoms, but the information itself is valuable! Thank you!

Not exactly what I was expecting

LuFreeze on

I was looking for an app to alert me when there were pressure changes, and the app can do this if there are large changes in the pressure. However, if the pressure change is gradual, it will not alert me for those changes. So after a few hours I will feel a difference but the app didn’t alert me to the drop in pressure. Also, the app alert is not helpful because it doesn’t say if the pressure change is positive or negative, and then I have to open the app anyway to see what kind of pressure change it really was. Not as helpful as I would have liked, but if I watch the app then I can tell when to make sure that I take my meds.

Love the shift warning

I really appreciate being warned that a shift in pressure is coming.
