Ridiculous customer service
I have been on vacation for a long time in South America, as an European, and I have managed to lose both my physical credit cards hence I have to use Apple Pay. When you google Apple Pay + Western Union it says I can use Apple Pay in the app to send money for me to go withdraw at a local Western Union now that I can’t use ATMs because I don’t have a physical card. But the Apple Pay option is nowhere to be found in the app.
I tried to call the English speaking (!) Western Union customer service to get help on how to use Apple Pay within the app, and then I get an Indian woman with the thickest Indian accent on the line that is barely capable of speaking English and pretty much just says “Sorry, I don’t understand, Sir.” — I speak perfectly clear English without a thick accent.
Hallelujah for outsourcing, long live capitalism.
