This is a great app for anyone looking to decipher chords and get the names and a better understanding of why they are named as such, and how they are made up. You know the situation where you may play a chord, and just slide your finger up a fret on one string, or take another finger off and think how nice the chord sounds and wonder what on earth the chord has now become? Well this app will tell you exactly which chord you are playing, so it is a great learning tool. I would have given 5 stars, but to me, when you open the app up, the fretboard seems to be upside down, which means I have to rotate my phone 180 degrees. A great feature to add if the developers can manage it, would be to make it possible to hear the chords as you build them on the app. Thoroughly recommend the app to all guitarists as a great little pocket reference tool.
