It’s rare that an app focused on privacy looks great and is easy to use at the same time. Wire is such app! I managed to migrate lots of my friends to Wire including my gf and my mom and yes, even my grandma. That’s how easy it is. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work.

For the past 2 months it has been hard opening new account

Your app is having issues creating a new account it’s always showing something went wrong!

Great app but since updating to iOS 18 on my iPhone 14 I find it incredibly CPU and RAM intensive. Battery drains quickly and phone gets very hot. Typing is laggy and often says I’m typing to the other person when I am not. I need to quit and restart the app often to restore normal functionality. Also, it is very unproductive to not include search by date functionality. Please update!

A company human resources pretending to be Carla M Macias from forever 21, reached out to me through email and offered me a modeling and talent agency job to be hired to make content and photoshoot modeling for the brand forver21. I had went to the lengths of signing a “contract”, completing an interview for the position and downloaded this app like requested. They asked for me to send them pictures of my “bikini or lingerie” modeling photos and then had asked that I do a haul for the company and post the content on social media for the brand, they had told me that i would be paid for the haul and would be paid through check but i needed to cover the “shipping cost” they were asking i paid via - bitcoin, cashapp or zelle, i said i did not have those and asked to use paypal they then said they would only with friends and family option. DO NOT SEND ANYONE MONEY ON THIS APP UNLESS USING PURCHASE PROTECTION PAYMENT FORMS!! IT IS A SCAM.

It was good at first but now I can’t receive any text messages

I love that it does not require a phone number it’s the only reason I chose Wire. There is the issue that there’s no way to block screenshots of chats which makes the chat less secure. Love the message preview and message banner settings for security. Phone-to-Phone Chat With Non-Apple Phones: 1. Functionally the app doesn’t allow non-Mac users to reply to messages and react with emojis — making chats with my Android and Samsung pals particularly frustrating for them. 2. The UX for other phones is different from the UX for the iPhone. This makes it impossible to guide friends who are new to the app through the custom settings. Requesting all features be added and to block them and note that they are unavailable so that users are able to find and stop searching for them. 3. Synching the Mac app to my phone after downloading the web app for the first time is a hot mess. I have 7k messages of text and after 15min my laptop has only been able to download 7 texts. 4. Mac users can react fine to all messages. Every now and then it gets overloaded and the only option I have is delete (where previously I could reply or react with an emoji).
