Imagine you go online and browse different shopping websites using your native browser. When you see something you would like to buy later, with one click (share button), you can easily add it to your wishlist. The app automatically stores information like title, photos, description, price, currency, and a direct link to the product page. You can add anything from any website. Discover gift ideas and the newest trends. Receive notifications with promo codes (valid !) from brands you love.
How do I add gifts to my list?
There are three ways to do this:
FROM BROWSER
Activate the GiftBuster button into your bookmarks bar; that way, whenever you come across something you want, you can add that item without ever leaving your browser.
SAVE/COPY ANY ITEM ON GIFTBUSTER
MANUALLY
How do I activate the GiftBuster browser extension (widget)?
Open any page in Safari
Tap the Share icon
Swipe the grey icons in the bottom row and tap "More."
Turn On "Add Gift via GiftBuster" and tap "Done."
Now when you see an item you like, you can add it to your GiftBuster list without ever leaving the Safari browser by tapping the "Share" icon and then clicking "Add Gift via GiftBuster"!
How do I reserve gifts that I want to buy for my friends?
Go to your friend's list. Choose the gift you wish to buy. Tap "Reserve". Set reservation date (i.e. your friend's birthday or Christmas). Click "Continue".
Can I purchase gifts through the GiftBuster App?
No, you can't. You can browse and reserve gifts through the GiftBuster App. And then you go and buy them in person or online.
Can my friend see that I reserved a gift from his/her list?
That's the best part. The list makers can't see who and what was reserved on his/her list, but others can. So no more double gifting!
Can I cancel a gift that I had reserved?
Yes, you can. Go to the RESERVATIONS and click "Cancel." Click "Confirm."
Can I mark gifts that are on TOP of my list?
Yes, you can. When you are adding a new item to your list - check the "Prioritise" option. You can also add it later (edit).
How can I delete gifts from my list?
Long tap on the item image you want to delete. Click the "Delete" icon.
When I'm adding a new item manually, do I have to all the information fields?
The only information required is "Title" and one photo.
If I like an item from someone else's list, how can I add it to my list?
Long tap on the item image you want to save. Click the "Save" icon.
Who can see my GiftBuster profile?
All profiles are public by default unless you change your settings to private. To change it, go to "YOUR PROFILE" and tap the right top corner for settings.
What are the benefits of following others?
Friends on your list can instantly view your gift list, reserve gifts, receive birthday reminders. Only when you follow each other, you can reserve gifts from your lists.
How can I invite friends to use GiftBuster?
You can invite them by sending a text message or email. Go to "YOUR PROFILE" and tap the right top corner for settings. Tap "Find Friends," and then the "+" icon.
Are there birthday reminders?
When your GiftBuster friend has a birthday coming up, you will receive a notification one week in advance.

I’ve been using this app quite a lot but I use it more as a private wishlist than a gift registry. In saying that, I like that I have the option to make lists public if I want and that I can choose which ones.
I like how easy it is to add things from a url. And how you can add multiple pictures of an item.
And I’m pretty sure it automatically shows when an item is on sale on the website that you added it from.
I prefer the style of thumbnails in the latest update than previous ones as well (rectangle instead of square). I think it could be nice to have the option of switching between view styles however, and even being able to have a mixture of the two—like some items in a list are square and some are rectangle. Maybe I’m thinking too far into it idk.
It would also be pretty cool if you could have different sorting options, like being able to switch to sorting by titles or by price or even custom sorting, I think that would be pretty snazzy.
Overall, nice app.

Not happy with the change
Have used GiftBuster for the last couple of years for the kids to put their Xmas gifts on and now it won’t let them save without putting in a URL. Very annoying. Have deleted this app and now using another one that doesn’t have this feature
Suspicious Terms
The app requires you agree to their terms, give them your full name, email and date of birth to sign up. I don’t feel confident sharing this information.
The terms state: “Giftbuster may at some point license, sublicense, sell or otherwise distribute its content, including but not limited to the Photos, Informaion , Comments and community services in whole or in part to third parties at its sole discretion.” (Spelling mistakes left in).
That’s not something I can agree to. The app developer is saying it can sell your personal information at their own discretion.
Furthermore they say, “GiftBuster does not claim ownership rights to any of your Posting” however later on it says “you hereby grant to GiftBuster a non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, worldwide license to use, copy, distribute, and display such materials.” So, that’s in stark contradiction.
Also, “by uploading content of any kind including… any Photos, Comments or Reviews, you automatically grant to Giftbuster and its affiliates a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such Photos, Comments and Reviews throughout the world in any media.”
It’s likely that the photos you’ll use come from product pages on websites (as you’re making a wish list of things you want), but the terms are basically saying the app developers have a right to use your content however they wish - and that includes your comments or reviews - so nothing you put in this app is private. That also includes their affiliates and we don’t even know who they are and what that includes. No, thank you.
GiftBuster is a gem…
But I don't use it in the way it was intended...
I needed an app to track potential purchases.
I'm not using it as a gift registry.
It's good at tracking any potential purchase making them easy to list and later find.
It would be great if it could be more broadly developed as a purchase tracker and researcher as it's much more useful to me for this purpose.
But it gets 5 stars because it much better than anything else I've tried to use and the Safari extension seals the deal.
It's more than a present app.
It's a research tool as well.
