WMR: Train Tickets & Times

Very simple way to quickly buy tickets for my regular train journeys into Birmingham.

Thus far it’s been a solid experience using this.

When I compare to other apps, it is years behind. For example, a train gets cancelled and I bought the tickets through the app, there is absolutely no notification. Even when you search for the train it is difficult to figure out it has been cancelled. Not to mention that the other apps in case of cancellation or delays apply for the compensation automatically, but with this app you have to do manually. Only good thing is that you buy tickets in advance without fees.

Been using this app (and it’s predecessor) for years. Does the job regarding live trains, so I can monitor where they are on the journey too. Now I use the flexi season option, where you can buy 8 tickets in a bundle at a slightly lower price. Really handy as I go in the office (at least) twice a week. Just remember you have to use them within the month.

I had some issues with login when it was first released but this seems to have been fixed and find it perfect for regional travel. Booked tickets for a return to Aston within a minute.

I do the same journey once a week. No problem getting through. E Ticket is great. Pay with Applepay. Then can look up for delays or cancellations. Live times are good. Works well!

This app is absolutely useless. Every time you put in your travel details it just says “oops there’s a problem”. If it does present you with options it says “not available to buy”. I can only assume that this is done on purpose to increase their fines revenue, as the ticket machines don’t work either and the ticket office window is permanently closed.

It fails to process ticket purchase for quite some time. Please fix it as soon as possible. Thanks!

Very easy app to use with a phone while playing with Apple Pay at the touch of a button.

I work for a train company and have to say the stability and options of buying tickets in this app is amazing. Great response and choices. Have option of using multiple apps but this one by far beats all of them.
