Zen Brush 2 FAQ
Is Zen Brush 2 free?
Zen Brush 2 is not free (it costs 2.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Zen Brush 2 legit?
🤔 The Zen Brush 2 app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I was very impressed with this app. But i would advice you have the pen to make live easy to draw with. Besides that it’s well worth it and keep in mind it’s great for quick drawing style. The whole idea I feel is to keep drawings simple. For the developers of this app could you add a few more tools to this app like you have in the zen brush 3 as a alway come
back to using it . To move and scale the drawings would be fab. Since you have all the coding it be easy to update this app. Thanks
EXECLENT!
Zen Brush 2 is amazing. I really,really
REALLY like Japanese! THX FOR THE APP!
Invaluable learning tool
I’m currently learning to speak, read, and write Mandarin Chinese. Another student recommended this app to practice the characters. It’s hugely useful to me. Writing on a paper notepad with a ballpoint pen doesn’t do justice to the exquisite characters of Chinese (and Japanese) calligraphy.
Haven’t tried any artwork, but for 汉字 practice, I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Please add custom guides!
The app is fantastic, best app for Japanese calligraphy that I’ve tried, the only thing it’s lacking is the ability to upload our own grid and guides. I like to use a 6° lines guide when writing kanji, a customised version of which I’ve created to use with Procreate - it would be great to use it with the more authentic feeling brush that this app offers.
Loved the original - this not as good
I was forced to upgrade to this version due to the original, amazing Zen Brush dropping support for iOS 13. Although there are some interesting ideas and features in this version the actual drawing feel with my finger is awful compared to the original. For some reason now after you stop a stroke and remove your finger from the screen the mark on the screen continues on - a totally different interaction.
Please add an option to turn off the follow on stroke / return to the original interaction feel for those of us who loved your original app. Thanks!
Needs iCloud support
Have done 2000 drawings of figures walking by my window but I need to save first then save to photos. Wish is was more simple like the app
Loading and saving problems
I really enjoy using this app.
However, sometimes the load menu seems to load a blank canvas, even though I had just saved an image. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Also it would be good to be able to set the brush size numerically without using the slider, or even to be able to save default brush sizes.
Zen Brush 2 is amazing
I had lost interest in digital art for some reason. However I’ve just downloaded this app and I feel inspired once again. Thank you so much for this app.
Very nice
Loved using the app so far. I’m using an Apple Pencil and find finger input really annoying. Needs to be an option to disable brushing with the finger please. Other than that no complaints, very slick.
Reasonable.
Works ok with Apple Pencil but not easy to draw anything concrete
