App Features
Zero’s NextGen App works with the bike’s dash and Cypher II or Cypher III operating system to create a feature-rich ecosystem.
Common features for these models include:
* Select and create ride modes
* Personalized dash options
* Scheduled and target-based charging
* Charging station location assistance
* Extensive notifications, including state-of-charge (SOC), time-to-charge and last-ride statistics.
* Ride data: location, speed, lean angle, power, torque, SoC, energy used/re-generated
* Remote diagnostics and Cypher III updates
* Provides ownership data when connected to Cypher III motorcycles

2 zero bikes? 1 app

RGOFHST on

It doesn’t appear that you can have 2 bikes associated with this app which is shocking. To switch bikes it says to forget the other in Bluetooth settings. Why? I liked the GEN 1 app for its dashboard capability for the fxs. Not really useful app to be fair. Even on my SRF the upgrades require a dealer trip. Why bother at this point if the app is useless. Firmware updates ha! Even that doesn’t work. Just take it to the dealer.

Works well. Was able to update the firmware without any issues. I wish that you could display more information on the screen than just 4 items. While riding, it’s nice to know battery temp, motor temp, estimated range, and instantaneous efficiency but I would also like to see the trip odometers and it would also be nice to see the ambient outdoor temperature and temperature of the control board. Car dashboards contain a lot more information and on many of them you can change the screen to the next screen to reveal information contained in deeper level menus such as checking tire pressures while driving… I think more could be done to improve the dashboard screen and give it additional functionality..

Pretty underwhelming

Can’t even show the proper model based on VIN? I have to look at a SR/F every time I use the app… no option to change. Remote connect literally never works unless the bike is on, making it useless to check charge etc. Clicking “notification settings” in menu crashes the app. App shows a random ride mode called ROLLIN that cannot be deleted, missing canyon mode. Zero’s Customer service little to no help, weeks between responses, even though I response within minutes. Was a mistake to purchase, will be trading back in. Feel bad for the dealer that the manufacturer is dismal at owner support.

Buggy

Really silly small things are incredibly difficult with this app. My bikes time is off by 7 minutes and there’s no way to modify it. Pairing is buggy and often fails. Changing the dash doesn’t push the update to the bike. Just a really poor user experience. Looks like an Apple UI, but functions like a blackberry.

Very poor

GrantMeStrength on

United States

Issues registering and simply crashes when trying to use navigation.

Cypher upgrades worked for my ‘22 SRS!

Great easy to use app. It had a slow pass, but it is way better and very very good today.

Over all good

Shiftingdragon on

Overall pretty good, allows you to tinker with your motorcycle preferences. The only thing is the dashboard settings on the app, I don’t think they translate to the actual dashboard. So it’s like having 2 dashboards…and the phone one unless it’s mounted on your bike while you ride is useless.
