ZeroTier One for iOS allows you to join ZeroTier virtual networks as VPN connections on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

ZeroTier creates peer to peer virtual Ethernet networks that work anywhere. It's used as a faster alternative to VPNs, to provide a seamless hybrid or multi-site/multi-provider cloud backplane, for remote collaboration and distributed teams, and for Internet of Things (IoT) applications to provide direct end-to-end connectivity to specialized devices.

This app provides virtual network endpoint functionality for iOS devices. To join a virtual network from an iOS device, simply tap the '+' button, enter the network ID and name, and click Join Network! (Once a network is added you can also join it via the iOS VPN control panel. It will appear there as an available VPN connection.)

You can only join one ZeroTier network at once due to an iOS limitation of one VPN connection per network extension app. The app allows you to add multiple networks but if you flip one to 'on' any others currently joined will disconnect.

I don’t know why but YEARS after reporting the bug, it is still chopping off leading 0 from network ID causing mayhem when reading out network ID to someone to input

Does not work while on cellular network

When the iOS device is connected through wifi, it works perfectly. When turning wifi off, I cannot connect other devices via the ZeroTier subnet ip. The app is allowed to connect with both wifi and cellular data.

Updates lag

This is a very good app - simple, effective, reliable. However, it seems to lag a long way behind releases for other platforms. All my macOS and Linux clients are up to 1.10.2 while this iOS app languishes at 1.8.10. It also is far from clear whether the iOS app does or does not have support for a DNS host being set in ZeroTier Central. Unlike macOS client, there is no button to enable/disable DNS and any IP address for the DNS host set in ZeroTier Central never shows up in the iOS GUI. It almost seems like this iOS app has been forgotten about...

Issues when on LTE IPv6 public IP

There is some issue with my iPhone on an LTE CGNAT IPv6 connection from the ISP. Issue is only on this device, IPv4 clients work fine. On this device I can’t establish connections to internal hosts on anything but HTTP. If I try an internal SSH server it mostly times out, one in every ten attempts it connects after minutes of trying. If I do the same using a ZeroTier client on an IPv4 public IP it works fine.
