Absolutely love the app, easy to use and very clear, used it all day today exploring a section of bush I have never been to, the only thing to make this better is if it could be compatible for apple car play, I’m sure a lot of people would love this
Hema is pretty good, if you’re used to paper maps from a book. However the approach used by Hema is shockingly antiquated. Today it’s just not good enough to geocode a raster file.
App claims you can access topo maps. But since downloading app on new phone there is no way to download the topo maps.
Maybe using the Hema device is good. But Hema app in the iPhone is stupid robbing the money and not worth it. Refund my money back!
I have been using this app for years. It’s been very reliable and accurate. The only improvements would be if it worked with CarPlay.
Basically a digital version of all the paper maps. I use this for adventure riding on a motorcycle and it is absolutely brilliant on the iPad. It’s the only app that can zoom out and still see all the roads you need and how you’re going to get there.
Have used this app off & on since 2010. Reason at the time of purchase was for a trip across the Simpson with no phone signal. I still use the app now for that reason it’s been reliable with no phone signal. Doesn’t have bells & whistles like other apps but it’s an app that Works. Sometimes simple is all you need for Can plan basic track at ease. The plus I like is recording track as I go just need to remember to save at the end of the day. Only thing I would ask for is showing time traveled time stopped as you are going. Does show up after saving. I like to see as I’m Going. Great app highly recommend from me. 👍
I have a subscription until next year but the APP doesn’t work any longer and if I want to open a ticket also that doesn’t work. Hema what is going on. I wasn’t able to use your app now for a long time and no solution is offered of money back.
Terrible app. I spent the money to buy it because I was camping in an area where I needed it, went to use it and saw how bad the standard maps are. The best it has is 1:150 000 which gives no track or trail level definition. I then found out that if I want closer, usable maps, I need to spend $40-$60 per map to buy them. Speaking to a rep at the 4x4 show today, there are no plans to make the app Car Play compatible because they make more from selling the plug-in.
The maps are very large, and the app is clunky and difficult to navigate. Some much better offline digital maps available, especially from Garmin. It's a shame, especially since I sought out this app due to the brand recognition and recommendations from people. Really wish I hadn't paid $100 for it, and would have been good to get a trial before paying and finding out it's rubbish.
