When you start, you just can't stop!!!
I I used to play this game quite a while ago, and I really liked it. Perfect tension and world building/story telling. I wanted to replay it today, and when i opened it up I was so confused. The new UI is so unintuitive and abrasive. It completely messed up the creepy tense vibe the game used to have :( Now it just gives me a headache. It’s so much harder to read what’s on the screen and to quickly scan for info. What was the point of changing something that was perfectly fine before? I’m so disappointed
This is a really fun game. Played it a while back but coming back to it again and it’s just as enjoyable.
I do have one question do you need to buy anything to continue and complete the game or is it just you buy the game on the App Store for $.99 and then you can complete the game Please get this game although if you are traveling to a city or a battlefield, you must bring a lot of cured meat or you will run out of cured meat
update: sound now saves! Sound sensitive folks beware— the new version starts at 100% volume every time. There’s no way to permanently adjust or disable sound. I started playing this in 2014 when it was new and was fascinated by the simple set up and rich storytelling. Once every few years I’ll come back to it. It’s fun to play with different goals in mind - how quickly, with or without huts, cover the whole map or just get what you need, etc. The new interface roll out for the 10th anniversary is overall a big improvement. As with any UI change if you’re used to the old way, it takes a while to get used to the new way. For me, the hardest thing to get used to was the fact that some of the timing and features are actually different. So some strategies I used before don’t really apply in the same way. That does add to the fun to have new challenges though. I would give this five stars if it weren’t for the fact that I can’t disable volume in the 2024 version. Assuming they adjust that in an app update, I’ll give the fifth star then 😁
This game use to be simple, which was part of the charm and appeal… now it has flashes and loud sounds. Another game that falls victim to “idiot developer adds dumb stuff that wasn’t needed just for the sake of change” congratulations moron you’ve ruined this game this recent update.
I loved how you could choose different paths, and the game made me feel so guilty I just had to go back and make different choices.
Replaying years later, I love how simple but complete this game is.
