If you’re tired of flashy, dopamine-addiction-fueling, cookie-cutter, thoughtless push button games they’ve been churning out, this game is for you. It grabs you and rewards you for curiosity and takes you to the stars and gives you a ride for your life. I downloaded it years ago and I’m still playing it. It has a beautifully, crafted simplicity, challenges you on multiple mechanics I’ve never encounters before. You’ll never see ending coming. Or beginning. Or the middle. Great if you got plane rides or long waits. Saves your progress and tells you a great story.

It’s like if a poetry book was made into a survival indie game

I bought this game ages ago. The title drew me in, even if I did not know how it played. Best purchase ever. I was hooked, I wanted to continue whenever I was able to. And I just learned there is a pre-sequel, after all this time? Best day ever!

A Dark Room is a short but very fun and interesting experience that invites you to take your time and pay attention to details in order to stitch together the story.

I wish there were more campaign games like this, a story with a beginning and an end instead of endless competitive play, though, yes, it can be played more than once. This was very satisfying to play.

Good, succinct game experience. Not mind-blowing, necessarily, but rewarding and satisfying in several ways, and the mystery of the narrative that leaves some questions unanswered = all good.

It starts out as a simple resource management, lemonade stand type game but after you find something odd the story begins to change! Way deeper than any ASCII game I’ve played before
