Simply does not work
Sadly this does absolutely nothing. Had it for a week and I still get ads on every single YouTube video I watch. And if I didn’t know better I would swear I got more ads.

I’ve been using Magic Lasso’s Ad blocker for a while and it certainly does a fine job of blocking ads. Highly recommended!!!
After finding and using Magic Lasso through Safari browser on my iPhone 14, I can write that I have been very happy with this ad blocker. It will be renewing on September 29, 2024. Well worth it as it completely blocks commercials on YouTube and YouTube live. It also blocks ads on some websites like Weather Underground and MSNBC.com.
I’ve already paid the one-time fee for the pro version, and now all of a sudden it’s a $29.99 subscription? No thanks.
What once was a fairly priced app has gone the route of disgust opting to now charge $29.99 yearly which truly is GREED personified. Having previously paid and now being asked to pay a yearly fee when at time of purchase it was a simple one time payment for pro features. Great you added family sharing (does this make you less of a greedy Ahole?) honestly no!! Best of luck with your retirement - hopefully your happy dude as I suspect your karma is midnight black (and) filled with darkness. Truly as it should be!!! Again in 2024 GREED is just gross and jaja poor developers apple takes 30% boo hoo ban together with other developers and go class action as the EU did BUT to rob Peter to pay Paul just makes you sad Lazzo
A very effective Safari extension that blocks most all ads & trackers without any user input? Yep. Ability to make your own blocking rules as you go? Yep. Tap to block unwanted elements on any webpage? Yep. Several more features to list but you’ll figure them out. Suffice to say it’s still a little obtuse in some regards. You have to discover some of its features on your own. For instance if you’re trying to block YouTube ads it won’t always work. You’ll get YouTube’s terms of service warning page instead. Unless you pull to refresh the content you want to watch multiple times then it’ll load up without the ads. This little tip isn’t listed in the apps rules or on the developer website & probably for good reason (though I suppose I’ve let the cat out of the bag now myself if it was meant to be a hush hush pro-tip… Oops). It doesn’t always work due to YouTube’s constant battle trying to circumvent ad blockers. But when it does it’s magic just like the name implies. Seems a bit expensive at first but it includes family sharing for the price so it’s really a bargain in my view. Make it so the rules auto update without me having to open the app itself & it’s a 5 star rating.
I was hoping this would be an easy way around YT’s recent ad-block crack down, as the free ad-blockers I’d been using have recently stopped consistently working. Even though this was a paid option, I figured it may be worth paying for, as long as the end result worked. Unfortunately, after working mostly fine for 2 days, today it is also no longer performing its function, which is the same result I got from the free ad-blockers. So what exactly is worth paying for here? I didn’t even end up having to use the full 30 days of the free trial, because it stopped working after 2 days.
after I signed up for the free trial, I followed all instructions. But I got stuck when it said to go to the Safari app and and chose Aa, chose Magic Lasso Pro, There were tons of choices. the only trouble was, I could not find Magic Lasso pro. I tried and tried and tried and now I'm getting so tired. I just have to quit.
So far, the only 100% effective blocker I’ve used on YouTube. I forgot about YT ads until I tried a different browser and saw the nightmare of not having a good blocker. I won’t be without it. Can I give 6 stars?
I saw an ad for this on Six Colors, and gave it a try. After installing on my Apple devices, I was amazed at how good it was. Compared to all the free options out there, this one works better. A flawless experience and I will be keeping it past the generous free trial. Outstanding app, highly recommended.
