AIB Authenticator

Can’t make purchases online . Sort your app out!!!

Doesn’t work. Way too much security. In the process of moving to revolut business now as I can’t use the Authenticator app as it’s too complicated. I shouldn’t have to confirm every single business travsaction

This app, just like much of AIB’s Business Banking online, is utterly amateurish and poorly implemented. I have changed to a new iPhone, and installed Authenticator, which needs registered to the new phone, but when I input the code sent by sms, it keeps coming up “Oops.. something went wrong”. No link or phone number for Support, and impossible to find by website. This after numerous issues setting it up on the previous phone, and the recurring annoyance of having to input your password for every single online card transaction. So enough is enough - our business will now be moving to another care provider.

Downloaded 6 times and still doesn’t recognise my email address or password. Absolutely hopeless bank and call centre staff hung up on me 3 times!! I wouldn’t even rate them one star let alone five!!

Managed after ages to register, confirm all my phone numbers & email addresses, only for it no to progress when I type my card number in to register it. The whole function of the app is to link to a credit card to authenticate transactions!

Doesn’t work, tried calling AIB to set it up to use online and got no where after hours. Whoever hired these jokers to build this app including the tech team who build it should just give up on life. Joke of a country and joke of a bank.

Terrible user experience and when I bought a new phone took weeks to get transfer across when other banks were automatic. Stay away!

Solution : to unable to authenticate If you have changed your phone you will need to delete the app Then re install it from App Store Then delete cards on app and re-install cards Then it works fine (It’s because the app is linked to your old phone ID and not just your phone number Ie phone number has stayed the same when you changed phones but phone ID is now different so app crashes) Hope this helps !!
