Anova Oven

But over half the time it can't connect to my oven

There’s not much to say, I just love it. I bought a freestanding range a month before I got my Anova and only use the cooktop, the oven just does not compare. The accuracy of temperature is spot on and my sourdough bread is better than anything I can buy in town. Thank you. Mac also

Updated today, and it unpaired my oven. Tried reconnect it, and it get unpaired again after app restart

Discovered when the internet is off but wifi is on you can not connect to your oven. Can see the oven is connected to home network. Sadly oven now just a manual toaster oven…

Plus: Has some good basic buttons that are easy enough to navigate, and can control the oven well from the app. I like that I can add my own recipes. Minus: Whilst I like that I can add my own recipes, as recipes rely on the community who use the app, it would be vastly improved if recipes could be posted and shared via the app (I’ve contacted anova and can’t get an accurate answer on this), and if the recipe functionality allowed a timer to be set as part of the relevant step, not as an added step. Another big down fall is the oven has 12 separate quick start functionalities, but only 7 appear in the app. I can't seem to contact anova via the app either.

Iphone 11 Pro Max talks to it just fine. One hiccup in installing; told me to turn off Bluetooth and try again. I did and it worked perfectly. Now it’s on the home wifi and working perfectly. The app is worth it just for the one touch preheat-from-factory-to-burn-off-the-coatings process. This is three separate processes manually but one touch in my phone. Nice set up all round.

So far so good! Very extensive app.

On an iPhone 11pro the text on the front screen is overlayed over the button to ‘continue with Apple’. The app may be okay but is useless if you can’t login.

After having used a wolf steam oven, we bought two of these. While the ovens themselves are good, the app is awful. Most importantly, it regularly loses its connection to the oven. This sometimes requires a hard reset - reaching behind the oven to unplug it. Secondly, it needs some basic "recipes" - ways to do simple things, like "steam broccoli". Everything is a complex recipe (like "spicy steam roasted broccoli"). Lastly, you can only connect to one oven. So my wife and I each need to control one. Very inconvenient. Simple fixes would make this a fantastic app and product.
