Anova Oven

Love that I can start my oven from the store and have it pre-heated when I come home.

Feels like the wifi disconnects all the time and I have to unplug it for it to work again, especially annoying since I just want to make some toasts in the morning but there’s no toast function and have to use a toast recipe which wouldn’t work when wifi is not working, really frustrated and annoying 😩

When it works, it’s great. But the oven’s WiFi connection is very temperamental, and there are some interesting glitches in the app, e.g., why do you have to enter 0 in the stream setting twice if you don’t want to use the stream function?

This oven is not user friendly and easy to understand. When controlling from the ipad, it’s difficult to understand the final instructions. Also after the steam off command, it continues producing steam and after filling the drip tray, the steam & water drips into the floor from tray. Considering the cost investment, we expected a better product. Thanks. Hubert

the connection was not stable, sometimes couldn’t connect the app with the oven; sometimes the app kept loading and no response; sometimes when it was connected, but the app was not able to control the oven. IT IS ALL BY LUCK.

We use it multiple times a day - the steam function has a wonderful impact on our cooking - the app is easy and makes remote starting and tracking easy. It is incredibly precise and clear - easy to keep clean. We have so much more room in our kitchen and this work horse of an oven has come with advanced functionality that we couldn’t otherwise afford and that we use everyday. Our thermometer has worked perfectly as has the app - and that we can go on a walk and our watches or phone will let us know how a bake is going has been freeing. This morning we started our croissant baking while still in bed. ;)

I bought the oven for bread making and the steam function. Overall results quite good with workaround to avoid high speed fan but oven heating is uneven and the the fill water light keeps coming on even when water tank is full. Really not sure if steam is working or not. After only a couple of months the rear heating element stopped working and the oven needs to be replaced. Not a great experience.

The app is strait forward which is good and has a good search, but it does not link up to the oven consistently. Very annoying

The app for this is useless. The oven was great before the update. I previously purchased their immersion sous vide product an thought I had a one off problem with that app that was remedied quickly. I saw this product from them and thought that the previous service was so good that if I had any problem, it would be rectified quickly & easily. Boy was I wrong!!!! I purchased this unit in late 2021. I had only used this oven maybe 10 times. After the app update, the app wouldn’t connect. I reset the oven. That didn’t work. So,I contacted their customer support. They were very helpful trying to get the app connected without success. I think we covered every workaround possible. I can use the oven with limited functions. The now useless sous vide was my purchase point. One needs the app for full sous vide function!!! I was offered a replacement if it was within warranty period…I am 6 months past. That is an expensive alternative to have the same problem, perhaps??? Just fix the app and make it non-tech friendly so anyone can set it up. Guess I will have to dig out my similar Breville smart oven that has a working app.

We live in a Tiny House and it fits perfect for its spot and for what we need. It actually performs better than most I’ve had in the past. I love making bread comes out perfect every time. Had it for two years now and no issues with the exception of one dislike .. the probe does not work well I use my own thermometer.
