Broken on iOS
I was recommended this as an alternative to Everand. The app just constant crashes on iOS. It sort of works on the web browser but not consistently. Please fix this and I would probably give 5 stars.

I love how much content is here and I will stay for life due to that. If is better than my Libby app!! (In content terms) The app needs fixes. There is no way to book mark. I read epic fantasy I need to book mark!!! The chapters are never right. If I want cap 53 I have to start guessing select 57 then 46 then 42 and at come point I can get to a cap or two prior to the one I want and skip ahead. If my phone is locked and I hit the 15 sec forward button it jumps to the next chapter. Sometimes at the end of a chapter it will just to the next. No reason I can tell Sometimes if I had to unlock my phone when it locks again the book pauses. I can not unpause from the Lock Screen I have to close the app and re open. Simple fixes guys make it happen
I enjoyed my free week. Loved the app and decided to purchase the quarterly plan for $24.99. Since then I have had nothing but trouble. Keep getting a message that I’m not wi-fi connected (not true). Everything else works great on my phone. Contacted the app support twice and have had no response. Don’t even say they are working on it or better yet fix it.
The Premium plan advertises unlimited books which IS TOTALLY FALSE. I listen to a lot of books and am cut off after getting to a certain point (not sure what that point is). This is an unethical and illegal bait and switch advertising ploy and will be reported as such. I have cancelled my premium plan due to these false promises. After a certain number of books have been listened to I get these messages: You’re offline (which I’m not) or the book is unavailable (when it actually is). The fact that it’s taken A MONTH for someone to respond to my issue says volumes (pun intended) of how poorly this company is run. The last app version update was in fact a month ago so nothing has changed. I have the premium plan and the books I try to play have been unavailable. I’ve tried several titles and they all come up unavailable. The app is also crashing saying to ‘try again later’. Please fix these glitches and ensure that there is availability of books.
This is the first audiobook app with books I don’t have to pay for like Sarah j Maas my fav author as soon as I get into it it turns off some how And when I listen to we’re it left off it happens again What gives if it was up to me I wouldent give any stars 😡
The only regret I have is not knowing this app sooner. So many good reads to choose from!
This app has amazing stories to read. I like all the fantasy books the most. There’s a lot on here that you can’t even get on Amazon kindle.
*UPDATE Nov 2023*: Throwing this out there hoping someone will respond. The app isn’t letting me change chapters. I can only do that with the website. Would be great if someone could take a look, please. *UPDATE*: a lot of books are coming up unavailable. Is this a glitch or are you guys getting ready to close down?? UPDATE/ Aug 1 2022: I noticed that you guys only respond to the positive reviews, but here goes anyway: I’ve been on the app for the last half hour & book after book is coming up unavailable. This has been a problem over the last year, but it’s been getting worse & worse. Please, please do something. I was searching for another audio service since Audible altered their membership by doing away with Audible Escape, which had a robust catalog of included titles, and replacing it with Audible Plus, which is a total ripoff. Audible Plus is full of self- published crap and public domain work you could get anywhere. I saw an ad for AnyPlay and I’m so glad I decided to try it. The selection is extensive and full of legitimately wonderful books. It’s odd that their pricing scheme is the same as I suggested to Audible in terms of bringing back Audible Escape. So gratified that I’ve found an alternative. The only reason I won’t get rid of Audible is because of its exclusive content, otherwise dumping them would be a done deal. Hashtag freeyourheadphones, hashtag AnyPlayAnyDay. Update/ Mar 3: the app is seriously buggy. It will not remember your place and books go back to the beginning, which is kind of annoying. I also think the user interface & keywording could do with a serious overhaul. That said, the wide range of books is still unbeatable. Update/ Dec 31, 2021: Of late, I am finding that when I click on a book, an alarming number of times a message comes up that it’s not available. Sometimes I’ll click again & it will suddenly load. Recently, I kept getting the error message, so I went & bought the book on Audible, only to find that it was available on AnyPlay a few days later. I’m now wondering how AnyPlay gets the rights to the books… surely if the rights were correctly secured, this wouldn’t happen. Also, the recommendations on the Browse tab aren’t regularly updated. I think the developers really need to read the reviews & dig into the problems identified by paying customers. It’s becoming super-frustrating.
I Loved this app until I didn’t! I posted a message on May 9th. Stating the app stopped working on my IPad. As of yet no one has gotten back to me. I’ve rebooted my iPad, that didn’t work. I cannot even login to cancel my subscription which I really don’t want to do. Customer service where are you!!!!!
I give it minus two stars because it keeps stopping mid story/chapter. With my wifi working and everything. And it starts my book over. Other than that. Great selection of books. Will keep. So hopefully it starts working properly.
