AO doesn’t go!
Firstly, the star rating on this review is a lie. I am not able to give it zero so one has to go. I am a visually impaired user and decided to try the AO app. Unfortunately, many buttons do not work they just say button.
You can use the menu button top left and then select a category within. However, once you get into there, it doesn’t read those categories and just reads the previous page. Considering AO is a growing company and claims to be moving forward and making many improvements such as AI In its warehouses that’s good but perhaps a little bit of accessibility or even a hell of a lot of accessibility on the app might make me become one of their customers. For the benefits of the developers I am using an iPhone SE 2022 with the latest version of iOS. Using VoiceOver and dictating this review. Thanks.
Do not install
It’s rubbish, should you choose to use AO stick to the website.
If you need to download an invoice just hope you have one in your email inbox, there is no facility to print from this app: assuming you can actually log in as it will not send a code via text message then ask you for a recovery code you will not have saved or set up - this won’t happen either.
A great pity, as AO are a good company with really helpful staff!
Great Company-Poor App
This is a poor app because there are too many key features missing.
You can’t share products you’re looking at with someone else as there’s no share button.
You can’t create a wish list, the only option is to add something to the basket.
You can’t compare items.
You get logged out between days even if you select the “trust this device for seven days” option.
AO are a great company and this is the only thing that lets them down.
Fix the log-in issue
Every time I seem to have closed the app for a few day or hrs. And then go back in.. it keeps asking me to log back in. This seems a bit ridiculous now specially as most new mobiles require biometric authentication to enter the phone. I don’t understand what AO app cannot save my details so it knows where I stopped. Not ask me all the time to log in when I need to check old orders, saved favourites etc. this is starting to get very frustrating now.
Keeps locking up
Update it seems this company just wants to do everything it can stop people using it by basically making you go through a load of security before you can even start looking for anything on the site sorry guys but I don't want to use a company that doesn't value my time. Sale lost.
Terrible app you're scrolling through and it just keeps locking up all the time and go back to where the items that you viewed are to have another look at them again and it just locks up it's just terrible
Irritatingly counterintuitive endless logins and no direct order tracking on the tracking page.
For an app designed to streamline tracking its very poorly implemented.
When logged in it doesn’t automatically have your recent order on the tracking page, it asks for the tracking number and postcode which makes little sense when the app is meant to be for this exact thing.
It gets worse the more you use it though, I’ll explain:
Every time i open the app to track my order it makes me log back into it, despite me not logging out. Not only this, but it requires the user to log in and go through 2FA every time, even if you tick the box so the app will “remember me for 7 days”. I do that and it still makes me log in.
The texts don’t always come through in time for the 2FA code which is annoying as it only gives you 60 seconds to enter it.
Also seems that every time I *have to* log in I will then get an email saying “we noticed a recent login”, so account security is obviously a thing they take seriously, but its so shoddily done and it means that just tracking an order triggers a whole bunch of different notifications from multiple different apps.
I’ve had to log back into the app 6 times already this morning to track an order.
Doesn’t allow you to filter
You’d expect this app to be great, in actual fact it’s the complete opposite. No matter what I search the filter or sort functions don’t allow me to change. Better using the browser page.
Glitchy app
AO is good but the app isn’t. Very glitchy. Buttons don’t work - eg filter button - which means it’s frustrating to use. Stick to the website.
App is useless
Disappointingly the App features work intermittently.. filter button repeatedly does not work and is very frustrating. I then have to log into my laptop to get to what I want.. this has been happening for a few weeks and needs to be fixed..
Won’t Sort or Filter
The Sort and Filter buttons do not work - pressing them has zero effect. If I can’t sort and/or filter I haven’t got the time to use the App and therefore haven’t got time to use AO.
