I am really enjoying this app so far, it’s nice to have one app that is solely dedicated to classical music. Although, I would love to have something to read about each of the songs or even the composers. I feel that the more you know about what you are listening to the more enjoyable it is.
Apple TV
Why is this app not compatible with Apple TV. That is in fact where many users like myself want to listen to classical music, in their living rooms.
Lack of videos
Love it, although I would like concert videos to be included
For people who actually care about music
After years of putting up with Spotify’s truncated track listings and inability to distinguish performers from composers, this app is a design triumph. By people who
clearly care about the music for people
who care about this music.
Well designed, but doesn’t support CarPlay
I enjoy using this app to listen to and manage my classical music library on Apple Music, but the app does not work with CarPlay where the Apple Music app does.
Would prefer it to be more separate from Apple Music
This is what I primarily use for classical music but I actually wish there was an option for everything I like and add to to NOT be included in my regular Apple Music library.
Very Pleased
UPDATE: It would be great if there was a shuffle option for playlists!
I was very excited to learn this app was coming out. I’m a big fan, and I don’t know why I prefer it but I appreciate that there’s a separate app for classical music. It’s such a vast and timeless genre, it deserves to stand apart. It’s definitely one of my favorite apps Apple has released to date. Since I’ve used it for a while now, I will say there are several modern or neoclassical musicians that aren’t included in the classical music app but are on the normal music app like Philip Wesley & many others. If those could be added to the classical music app it would be perfect. Maybe add a neoclassical genre to accommodate.
New music
There are fairly young classical composers having an
Orchestra play a world (or city) premiere for some music
They have written. Likely the performance will be recorded.
Is there any way, other than a new album being sold, that I
Could search “New Compositions” and find pieces by
Composers I never heard of — and listen to their music ?
Does this even work
I am having trouble to having music even play using this app - when I tap the play button for an album or an individual piece, most of the time it looks like nothing is happening.
Almost perfect
The navigation and search is much better than normal music. Very nice sync, I was afraid I wild have to recreate all my playlists again, but it synced all of them from apple music.
The reason I leave a four star rating is simply because it didn’t have enough tracks. I will search of a specific song, and it will lead me to the with the song is found in, but there are no recordings of the song I am looking for. It is nice, however, that it will show me that there are no recordings of the song I’m looking for. On Apple Music, I would search for a song, but couldn’t find it. On Apple Music classical, it would come up with the song I am looking for, but then show me that there are no recordings of it.
If there was more recordings to less popular classical songs, I would rate the app 5 stars.
