AroundMe quickly identifies your position and allows you to choose the nearest Bank, Bar, Gas Station, Hospital, Hotel, Movie Theatre, Restaurant, Supermarket, Theatre and Taxi.
AroundMe shows you a complete list of all the businesses in the category you have tapped on along with the distance from where you are.
For every listing you can choose to see its location on a Map, view the route from where you are, add the information to your contact list or even email the information to a friend.
The Nearby listing allows you to find information using Wikipedia about what is around you.

NB: When AroundMe Weather push feature is active the app may use your location even when it isn’t open, which can decrease device battery life.

Not great!
I'm in Hong Kong and it give me parking and banks in the US. Before I upgrade want to see a big improvement otherwise will trash.

Not successful
I've tried to search ATM in Hong Kong and only those of DBS ever showed up, when there are other banks in Hong Kong! Sometimes, a find across the harbor was shown - that's certainly not around me!!

The first time I used it was to delete it ..not useful at all in hong kong
Aroundme App
I have been using this app at different locations and it always gives places kilometers away instead of Around me. I was in area in HK that within 500 meters has many coffee shops. Restaurants clubs etc. Yet the app listed places kilometer away only and not one place in that immediate area.
