Love the seamless no lag integration to replace my Warcom tablet. I can see and draw directly on screen. A must have for artists who draw digitally. While waiting for a proper industrial level illustration app to be more usable in iOS, and iOS to be a more usable work horse, this is the next best thing we can have. Or if Apple would ever make Mac touchscreen already!!

The reason why it’s 4 stars is because it will be great if sound will be duplicated in the ipad as well. As Animators, sound is important to us and hence it will be great if u can hear it from the ipad too. Connect it as external speaker because it will be horrible to mute the laptop to find that ipad is muted too or to have two sound from both laptop and ipad. Many people compare if it is worth it to purchase an ipad and this application to make it work like a cintiq. One of the top pros is that, this is just an external display and not a computer, hence it doesn’t require high ram to run heavy Animation programs and even 3D rendering software. (High memory if u connect your laptop with hard drive. What is even more better is that u can let it connect wireless as u show your Lecturers without moving the laptop. Or animating it from your bed because u fell ill after many all nighter. Saving laptop battery by turning the brightness to the lowest and not touching the hardrive everytime with the mouse. I enjoyed using Apple Pencil with its pressure sensor very much than cintiq, hence that is another benefit. The programs I have used so far is clip studio paint(frame animation), photoshop, illustrator, adobe after effects(motion graphics) and indesign. Thank you so much for producing this application. Do consider adding of the sound feature, although the way adobe after effect’s sound works is different but do try your best! Once again thank you.

Costs infinite amounts of money… Wish they offered a lifetime license.

Web site says $79/year after 14-day trial. It is very clear, no ambiguity. However, whether I use the account I created years ago during the Kickstarter which has since expired from non-use lately, or a new account from an unrelated email address, the interface will only present me a single one-time price of $99/year or an even higher per month rate. This is clearly a lie compared to their published online pricing. One of the two must be corrected immediately. If they want to make that extra money, decide - draw in fewer users, or charge more. As for, I have decided - not to support dishonesty.

I’ve been using Astropad almost since it came out. I do a lot of retouching and this piece of software is very well designed to cover all the main points required to substantially go above the competition. The interface is easy to use and very intuitive so the learning curve is relatively simple. Works with every screen you bring up and the configuration lets you customize your workspace as you wish. It is a pleasure to use

Where to begin? I'm glad this app offered a free trial, because if I would have spent $99 to be disappointed I might have just sold my iPad and been done with it. If you want to use this for Adobe Photoshop, reconsider. It worked for 30 seconds before becoming unresponsive and unruly, then it worked long enough to realize none of the advertised features work. No pinch to zoom, no double tap to undo, and the Apple Pencil gestured didn't work either. For the ridiculous price of this app for a year, you could just get a dedicated drawing tablet AND it would work.

Great if you love it, which i didnt, but trying to cancel was and still is now becoming impossible to do.. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!

Bought this app for $30 and it was great. Haven’t used it in months and came to use it but they want to charge subscription on top of payment. That’s horrible customer service.

Wireless is laggy not as good as the native sidecar performance so you have to use a cable. The UI elements are a bit distracting, wish you could turn it off. The drawing is slightly better because of the cursor preview and two taps to undo. Also you can customize per-app shortcuts. But is it worth the $80/yr just for that? Eh not really. Much cheaper apps like EasyCanvas and native Sidecar will get you 90% there.
