Atlas Obscura Travel Guide

Thanks for this amazing app. Loving it.

I’ve sent in multiple places with photos and websites. No response. Really disappointing. They also reject things [ ie abandoned hotel on an island) but choose stupid things that are about as obscure as white bread. What this app needs is better vetting, better responses and at least one person that could answer email.

I love the stories about the unusual places and sometimes bizarre things people build and eat from all over the world. (Love the podcast too). But the app and website have some issues. The main irritation being that the photos are impossible to zoom into, (I have bad eyesight). Also the phone app is a bit buggy meaning I can’t always click on to an article from the email. Technical issues have caused the loss of a star.

When you submit a place on the map that exists they choose not to publish due to lack of information, what more information do you need white river Ontario, Winnie the Pooh with photo and exact location what else do they need. Google maps at least allows you to post interesting places and appreciates it. Atlas is a terrible app. Half the places not even on the map. Delete go with a worth while app.

I love Atlas Obscura for all the delightful places and things that it takes me to.

FANTASTIC collection of interesting things to do in various cities (even less touristy cities!). So happy I heard about this from a TikTok comment, this is a game changer!

Since so much of this app is the Atlas Obscura website but wrapped inside the app, it performs a little wonky.

My pockets aren’t deep enough to see the magnificent things & places on Earth!!

Atlas Obscura is a wonderful way to see unusual things!! I turn to it daily!!!!
