The app works great with the brand new iPad Pro 2024 13" model. This is my go-to Sampler so I am happy to report that it remains a top-notch product!

Over the course of several years, AudioLayer has adding import capabilities for EXS24, SFX and *now* SF2 soundfonts. And once you import these collections of samples you can continue to edit them and make even more complex and amazing instruments. Storage works on IOS device, iCloud, or external storage and you’ll probably want to build a massive collection. Importing samples from anywhere and importing them into AudioLayer is so easy and powerful: either by filename conventions, root pitches or sequenced. There’s a nice rack of FX functions to add and lot’s of control over layers, zones and such. And now AudioLayer shares instruments bi-directionally with the KARO sample based Xinematix app so that’s yet another way to pull in samples for instrument and sound design purposes. It’s the most powerful auto-sampler and instrument builder on IOS.

Hello, i have an iPad Pro 12.9 updated to the newest iOS and , this application always crash’s when i open it up… please fix this issue

Would be great if it had an oscillator and invert phase function

The Good: Imports multi layer EXS24 instruments Nice Effects Saves samples locally to phone or load from iCloud Good if you play one instrument at a time (like a bottom keyboard piano) and you have plenty of time to change sounds using the menu list. I use Audiolayer to play my 200mb piano exes multisample. Works nicely! The Bad: Does not receive program changes Limited Controller Support Cannot quickly change from piano to saw and tweak filter cutoff or effects in real-time I use a 500mb soundfont and an iOS sf2 player for all my single/ top keyboard dynamic sounds… This app is one step away from a being a classic multisample performance instrument.

This is the closest thing to a kontakt-type sample player for iOS because it has multi-layer and round robin support. What would make it even better are the following: a purge unused function, multi-out support, batch editing for multiple zones, and macro (customizable gui?) support. Obviously, these are just suggestions and I can get what I need out of it as-is for the most part. Hopefully the developer will continue to develop this great tool!

The sampler works great, and I love the EXS24 importing. BUT I can’t use the app with my live performance setup because I can’t switch instruments via MIDI program change messages. This is an essential function which I hope the author adds in a future update.

I used to LOVE this app! Closest thing to Kontakt for the iPad! But with this latest update, it no longer allows me to load custom exs24 or sfz instruments? It gives me this error that says samples are missing? I’m not sure why this just started happening after I updated, but if youguys can fix this, then 5-Star rating for sure! Sorry for the bad review, but this is going to be a killer if this issue never resolved! Please let me know if youguys can fix this. Thank you! PS. Midi Volume control in the future would be a nice feature I think.

i bought this to multisample external synths, but any multisamples are not savable in the AUM plugin since ios 13 according the error. also found it very frustrating that the MIDI out channel can be set. always on channel 1
