I downloaded this app with low expectations considering the reviews. The Barcelo Maya resort is not even an option, so the app was completely useless to me.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort hasn’t worked for months

literally wouldn’t allow me to choose the place I was staying at.

This app needs to be up to date on their current list of hotels. I have to type up the hotel I’m looking for the exact way it’s spelled, yet when I go to book on a website, it’s not even the same name. It’s Barceló, but the rest of it is completely different on the websites when looking at a particular hotel. So get with the program & get it right, that is so frustrating about this app. I won’t download it or use it again until the developers get it right.

I thought the app wasn’t working because I wasn’t on my vacation yet. It wants your room number and the date you are leaving. So I tried the app once on my vacation at the Barceló and it still didn’t work. I took the app off my phone and put the app back on and it still didn’t work. This app is useless.

Once you can book a la Carte restaurants on the app which can be somewhat painful at the resort even with premium level service, I would bump the rating to 5 stars.

Great way to keep track of all the activities on the resort and build your own schedule should you wish so ! I had a lot of fun signaling with the app that my body gel dispenser was malfunctioning. The response was immediate and soon after I received the message the problem was taken care of. Not so 18 hours later!

Muy satisfecho con los servicios prestados por Barceló. El personal muy amable. Las instalaciones acogedoras.

Trato discriminatorio en función de la nacionalidad. Se da preferencia en el acceso a las habitaciones a clientes franceses, frente a españoles reconocido por el recepcionista. Los franceses a las 11 nosotros a las 15:00 horas . No volveremos a ningún hotel del grupo , al mismo tiempo tuvimos un error en la reserva , nos equivocamos de día . A pesar de no estar los hoteles llenos y no generar ningún gasto la noche que no estuvimos ,ni de cómida ni de alojamiento, no se nos facilita nada , se nos remite a una nueva reserva la cual tuvimos que abonar . Habíamos reservado directamente con BARCELÓ . Decepción con el grupo BARCELÓ y como hemos dicho no volveremos a alojarnos en ningún hotel del grupo .
