BCU Mobile Banking

Hey devs, if you updated your photo library for mobile deposit, please roll it back. The edge detection is pathetic. White on black with good lighting couldn’t be simpler. And it somehow fails to find the edges. My other banking apps don’t have this issue. Also please move to a native experience for all feature. WebViews are choppy and give a poor user experience. Might want to wait for all the content to load on the account summary screen before showing each thing as it becomes ready in order to avoid clicks that take the user to an unintended place.

BCU app used to be great, had a feature to lock and unlock card. Recently got a fraud alert, which I didn’t make a purchase and confirmed that was fraud. Apparently they blocked the card completely and didn’t even ask nor inform me that I would need to get a new card nor issued a new one. Walked quite a ways to an ATM to withdraw cash, come to find out I couldn’t, called and was told I can’t even use that card anymore and a new one needs to be issued. Would have been nice for BCU to let me know than to find out the inconvenient way like this. What kind of business lacks such communication? Would be nice to know all of this than to find out this way. Imagine if I went on a trip out of state to find this out. Unacceptable.

Zelle is not very well integrated into the app and it makes it difficult to Zelle new people even if they are already enrolled with Zelle. I never had issues with this while banking with Chase.

It’s a decent online banking app. You can check your credit & and also apply for a loan. It’s okay

You don’t need my location always, especially in the background, and you’re not gonna get it. Stop asking. It makes me suspicious that my credit union does business with data brokers.

App won’t open on my phone 12. Tried deleting it and reinstalling. Same thing. App used to work, now it doesn’t.

The app is decent, though far from perfect. My biggest issue is that it’s keeping the GPS on regardless how long ago I stopped using the app. Force closing is the only way to keep it from using GPS.
