Good until I went to lock the bike and it would not unlock and I’m worried it’s going to charge me hundreds so I deleted
Would you finally put these e bikes in Hastings town just think it’ll be good I was in Brighton tested your bikes out and I love them
The bikes are absolutely knackered there is not much that is working properly on the bikes I got my own bike now but used one of beryl and was a big regret tried 3 bikes and what can I say awful maintenance what maintenance I will never be using them ever again not a pleasure to ride and complete waste of money
Bloody expensive, 80minite nearly 13£ … I prefer a parking ticket
Inconsistent service because I never know if I can unlock or not. Same cost as bus but less reliable. Ended up walking more time than I can remember due to unable to unlock has got really tedious
I often buy the 600 mins pass. My ride is usually 25 mins but I always lose 2-3 mins (sometimes up to 6) trying to end the ride because the location can’t keep up with the scooter. I use the scooter on average 8 times a week meaning I lose 24 mins a week because the location movement is so slow. On average meaning I lose the minimum of 72 minutes a month (which is how long the pass will last) which is a lot. I also find many of the scooters in my area won’t start of have faults with breaks or indicators. If they were looked after more and the app was better this would be a effective way of travelling.
The system doesn’t work well most of the time. I get refunds most of the time. People park badly or pause it and I can’t use those bikes.
The prices doesnt match the performance of bikes they have, either they dont cross 10kmph or they drain while cycling or they keep making sound due to low battery, they have very poor suspension, so its very convenient if road in not smooth. All of this while charging humongous money, which otherwise can be used in buses and are cheaper too. Initially they offered few minutes free, but once that quota gets over, it just puts hole in your pocket, not using them until very urgent.
I used one of the city bikes in Brighton on April 6th during the marathon. I rode for just 15 minutes and was charged £4.50—more than a full-day student bus ticket! It feels unfair and discouraging, especially for students or anyone trying to choose a healthy, eco-friendly option. I hope the company considers adjusting their prices to be more reasonable for short rides.
