The app is not user friendly. Gaining access is stupidly complicated. The text to speech is the worst it could possibly be. It randomly locks me out of my own account, wasting my study time. Shameful.

I purchased e-books recommended by the University. I was under the impression that I will be able to use the ebooks on my kindle of apple e books. Instead I was forced to use this app, this app is useless and full of bugs. This app should not exist and universities should stop partnering with these people. I would give it below zero if possible. Wasted over 200 dollars on this. Now I am looking to buy used or kindle books again.

Can’t type on document, have to highlight and leave comments in order to fill in blanks, formatting errors all over the place. Not to mention, half time when you highlight something it gives you an error, then you have to reload the entire document and start over. This is genuinely the worst ebook app I have ever used and I pray that courses stop using this.

This is literally the worst app for textbooks. IDK WHY universities keep using it. It logs you out once a week for no reason. It’s glitchy and doesn’t even have a decent text to speech. Garbage POS

This app is required for me to use to access textbook for my courses. Let’s start by listing the Pro’s Pro’s -customizable font, text size, background colour -Side menu for quick access to chapters -cannot set customizations download textbook for offline viewing Con’s -cannot set customizations to default so every time the app is opened you have to re apply settings -1 of every two times I go to next chapter I get stuck on a load screen and have to close the app -1 of every 5 times I close the app it logs me out -logs you out when app is offline -Cannot access downloaded textbooks while offline because it logs you out -Cannot log in while offline. -cannot apply notes -text to speech barely works Conclusion The level of bugginess of this app is an absolute failure of the software engineers working on it. By university better be getting paid to use this because this is just insulting otherwise. Hopefully Uvic changes contracts next year 😑

Paid 200 Dollars to get toronto notes. And it is slow to load pages amidst a good network connection. It keeps deleting the notes I have saved. Please kindly correct the software or give us PDFs instead

So many times locked me out of my own book. The minimizing and maximizing pages send you to somewhere else in the book. Highlighting a part of the sentence, blocks your view. The search after couple of times using doesn’t work unless you close and reopen the app. There is no support to help you!

I’ve been using the app store for well over a decade and this is the first review I have ever written. That is how bad this app is. Not a day goes by where I don’t curse my school for whatever bleak turn of events led to a partnership between the bookstore and this application. In the time that it takes me to read 1 chapter, I usually have to close/reopen the app 4 or 5 times. I have “downloaded” all of my content to make it available for offline use probably a dozen times, and I have never once been able to access any of it without an internet connection. Want to use the text-to-audio function so you can listen to your book while you do chores or something? Not a chance. How dare you even ask. I wish this was all hyperbole, I really do. I still have to deal with this disappointing product until December. RIP my sanity.
