The Black Library Audio app is the ultimate way to experience Black Library’s wide range of audiobooks and audio dramas wherever you are, whenever you want, right on your iPhone and iPad.
Choose from a wide range of over 170 audio titles set in the immersive worlds of Warhammer 40,000, The Horus Heresy and Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
KEY FEATURES
STORE
View the vast range of audiobooks and dramas, filtered by setting. Find your favourite series, or a new one, and buy every title that belongs to it. Get a taste of the action with a free sample before buying.
LIBRARY
Browse the audiobooks and audio dramas you’ve purchased in the app’s Library. Sort your audios by purchase date, title or series. They’re all stored remotely for you to download to your device whenever you want to listen to them. You can toggle freely between titles on your device and everything you’ve purchased.
PLAYER
The app also features an audio player, allowing you to listen to your downloaded audiobooks and audio dramas wherever you are, whenever you want. Never be without your fix of fantastic adventures from the worlds of Warhammer! Link up via bluetooth to listen remotely with cordless headphones or in your car.
SEARCH
A fully-featured search function allows you to find the audio you’re looking for in a variety of ways. You can search by title, author or keyword. Looking for stories that feature Ultramarines? Just type it into the search bar and you’ll find them all. The search function will even shortlist and show titles based on what you type, as you type it.
EXPERIENCE
With our audiobooks you get to experience the story as it was meant to be heard. Word for word your narrator will read the story to you, straight from the page. Audiobooks are usually full and unabridged versions of novels, novellas or short stories.
With our audio dramas you are immersed in the story. Gunfire, battle cries and music form the backdrop on which actors play out the characters. The narrator links the tale together so all you have to do is listen to the action. Audio Drama’s are uniquely scripted and can range in length between roughly 10 minutes and 2 hours.

Stellar content but buggy

The only let down to this app is that I can't satisfy my need for more. I can't purchase some of the audiobooks and one I actually have bought won't play....Age of Sigmar release so maybe it'll be patched but still very very annoying. Please FIX IT.

Works for me

Love 40K and love the work that goes into making these audiobooks.

Too simple?

I’ve been using this app for years now enjoying my favorite books. It was yesterday I tried to link my account to another app (Warhammer Tv) and realized I don’t know what email I used in my black library app. thinking I’d be able to look in setting to find it I was shocked to find there is no settings icon or option. Only a restore purchase option and 3 quick app options. I feel this is a huge flaw and needs to be updated until this is fixed I won’t be using any other Warhammer apps because I don’t need to have them spread across all my different email’s trying to manage payment issues either. Please fix this

Very Bad Do not Buy!

Downloaded a book and will not play,No customer support. No one ever gets back to you. Buy through kindle if you want a 40K audio book.

Not compatible with their online store

Can’t import your online purchases from their own web store

Come on really?

Your black library website and audio app accounts are separate and you can't access your purchases between them? Seriously? This should have been step one on designing the audio app. I'll be back when the app is actually useful.

Their app is your only option

Great audiobooks, but you are stuck with their feature-lite player. No ability to export or download any prior purchases to another player. Just be cognizant of this before you make any purchases.

Apps bugged rn

This app is great the majority of the time, but as of writing, I can’t download any audiobooks. Don’t download until a fix is made.

App stopped working’

I bought two books and both books won’t download. In fact previous books I’ve bought won’t download from cloud. This is Oct 11, 2020

Just ask Apple for a refund

MOST IMPORTANT: if your books stop working (won’t download) BL’s policy is no refunds. However Apple will refund you your money very quickly for up to (I think) 3 months whether you’ve listened to it or not. You paid money to OWN the book; NOT RENT it. Yes, you may have listened to them but if you can’t listen to them anytime you want then get your refunds because this is a common problem! Things you should know: 1. No streaming. If you can’t download then you can’t have it. 2. No website cross over. If you bought it here, enjoy it here. Only. If you can download it. If you bought it on the website, enjoy it there. Only. 3. Zero customer support. I emailed them about it not working over a week ago and even posted on their Facebook page. Haven’t heard from them at all.
