Was hoping that this would eventually turn out to replicate Twitter’s prior usefulness as a news aggregator, but it’s clear it will never fulfill that purpose. As is it’s a tedious daycare for the most self-important twitter “refugees.” Best part of the app/site is that when you delete your account it doesn’t give you any option to recover it.

Screen readers used to not work at all, now they only work half the time, if you don’t put alt text (that typically doesn’t get read by screen readers) people get made at you. When you point out alt text doesn’t function properly they don’t care. Been discussed on the app over and over again and still doesn’t work

I’ve been an active Twitter user for a decade, but couldn’t handle all the chaos and moderation decisions there. Blue Sky is something new, and they’re building a lot of interesting things very well and very quickly. Some features aren’t here yet, but they’re coming, and others, like moderation, and algorithmic choice, are really well done.

What is happening with this app? Is it dying? It’s like a desert out there Every tweet I see is like 100 to maybe 1000 likes at best and it’s impossible to have people follow you back to make friends.

Works fine on iPhone, but as soon as you try and use this app on your iPad, you are met with constant resizing of the window and overall glitchy shenanigans. iPad version needs serious work.

Pretty sparse userbase except for some screeching liberals and furries. I hope you enjoy seeing Ken White scream into the void

After Twitter turned into incel land, I went to threads. It was ok for awhile. After I was finally able to get into BlueSky, this app is 1000% better. Way more feature rich, the scrolling is super smooth posts post immediately. There’s actually lag in posting on threads. You control what you see. It’s the best mainstream social media app there is. If you’re on threads get off Facebook 2.0

but i’ve seen cooler. update: the app keeps reloading most of the time i switch away and come back to it. i lose all my draft text or my place in the feed when that happens. background refresh is on. no other apps do this?

I really this app, feels like nostalgic twitter and its super easy to use. I would like to suggest editing posts after posting, color-changing profiles and a links bar
