No chargebacks, so basically a random bank transfer
I find the fact that there is no way to way to dispute payments pretty damning. When I came across this while buying electronics, I thought the vendor website must have been hacked to intercept the payments. The payment pop-up didn’t work on iPad either, so had to switch to macOS to even get the QR code. Most confusingly, the amount on the QR code wasn’t even right (£1). It isn’t so much that I distrust Bopp, their idea is decent, but they disclaim themselves from any responsibility, so there is no more buyer protection than if I’d just done a bank transfer to someone. Maybe less, because even banks work together sometimes. I’ll go to another vendor, pay more, but with credit card for section 75 protection instead.
