Bosch Remote Security Control+

Takes almost 30seconds or more to connect to the panel. Plus the push notifications no longer arrive. Needs a major update or another app that can manage the 2000/3000 panels.

This app needs work. It requires a user code to be entered every time, even though phone is secured with Face ID. It also requires starting over if wifi signal is lost while trying to arm the system. It needs to be more informative with what is happening after a request to arm or disarm, as it frequently times out. I want to be able to easily arm the alarm after closing the garage door without idling for 1-2 minutes, and to quickly disarm it when I get back. It should be faster than turning the car off, going to the front door, unlocking the door, then using the control panel. Let me tell it to arm or disarm the system without waiting to show me the current status.

Was working. Albeit slow and extremely basic! Over lockdowns hadn’t realised app had stopped working now can’t login and no longer receiving any alerts and appears no way of resetting. Have the feeling this is going to cost a call out fee at minimum for an installer to come out and fix. What year are we in? This should be a simple home user reset come on!

For an expensive system the app is rubbish . Takes forever to logon , frequently doesn’t work . Can’t name the zones , all in all disappointing.

1)The fact the Zones Names that are programmed with names do not show up on the app such as - Bedroom 1 or Garage / Lounge is really stupid. 2) the fact the Notification sound is just like a normal Notification on you phone and there is no way of choosing an alert so you know without looking at your phone your alarm has activated. 3) Needs a way of Isolating zones from app, so if you do have a zone problem such as a faulty PIR while you are away, you can isolate it and re arm system.

Network error no function to reset or resolve problem, I have to reset manually by disconnected power from board.

The RSC+ application is quite basic in its content and usage. The connection to panel is quite slow and error message Connection Failed: Unable to connect to Panel is very very common. The repute of the Bosch application is very low.

I had an error “unable to connect to the specific panel” while connecting the alarm panel to the app. After my installer couldn’t help, I contacted Bosch support. Ashley from Bosch team did fantastic job. Sent me the new firmware 2.1.3 (something) for alarm control panel and DIY steps. After updating everything, my experience is second to none now. App connects to the alarm in 5 secs. Compared to the earlier version that took 25+ secs. Love the app and support. Recommend everyone to upgrade to the firmware to improve app experience.

Has always been very clunky and unreliable, recently it would not let me connect anymore for no reason. Now the app constantly crashes, I have removed the app and reinstalled but no good. If Bosch has any customer service maybe they can respond with a fix. Not holding my breath for that one.
