It takes more than a day for their customers service to respond to your question plus the transaction from the brightwell card to the local bank account takes a whole month if not a week, I would honestly rather use a different platform or app if I was given a choice but no I’m forced to use this garbage because of my company
I lost my card over 2 weeks ago I contacted the company via email and the responded with a few questions. They later then blocked my account… that was ok with me. The rep asked for an address to send a replacement card provided the information and they later responded we are unable to send it there so I have a home address. Mind you I emailed them and let them know the country am in only do courier services or general post office. They still asking me for a home address. Mind you am already getting frustrated. I contacted my manager he sent me a replacement card because they have cards literally at their disposal. I tried to activate the card it gave an error, contacted the company by email the lady stated she unlocked it. Went back on the app I am seeing $10 deducted from my account and I still can’t activate a new card. Email them again the lady is saying she needs further information she will contact me again. This is going on for 2 Weeks. Came back to my account today another $10 was deducted ‼️ Tell me why y’all deduct $20 from my account and y’all never issued me a replacement card ❓And I still can’t activate my card

I will literally buy stock in your company if you get rid of the video selfie security feature. It’s terrible, it functions poorly, it has trouble detecting the facial features of people of color, it never works correctly the first time no matter how much light you have or how steady your hand is…it’s the literal WORST. Also the app times out trying to connect to its servers at least 45% of the time.
Brightwell is a weak financial institution with limited services and previously confirmed security breaches. When you communicate to their support team they may throw your case around to 5 different people, and this may be as simple as request account balance with their letterhead or clarify situation about money transfers. Also according to my experience they have challenging “remittance partners” that consistently limit and restrict variety of transactions performed by their clients. Overall, Brightwell can be considered as a money saving solution for the cruise ship corporations, nothing more. I would advice anybody to avoid them at all costs, if not possible to transfer money you receive with them to the real banks (yes, Brightwell is not a bank).
There was a direct deposit transaction that failed and after around 12 days the amount was not getting credited back. After a few seconds of submitting a help request the amount appeared on the Brightwell account and on the next day it was in my bank account through an on demand transfer. Got a response in less than 12 hours by Catherine Abrigo and she was very helpful and kind in settling the situation. Great work and great service.

If you’re an employer thinking of using Brightwell, your employees will hate you. The app is terrible, crashes, gets errors during money transfers, and changes selections you’ve made. Their customer service doesn’t actually answer questions and just keeps responding with boilerplate language and saying they are “escalating” the issue to someone else. I’ve had multiple issues with Brightwell and I have talked to my employer about it who says other employees also complain, but they are stuck in a contract for now. They better not renew. Run away. Don’t use this service.
