Buxfer: Budget & Money Manager

Buxfer in general isn't great. The system is confusing and difficult to find simple breakdowns of expenses. Only a few visualizations are available. The app is totally garbage. It's buggy and the weak online interface is even worse in the app. If you're in the US, Mint is much better. For a fully international solution with robust access to US and European banks (at least Swedish banks), Spendee is better but it's missing a key feature or two for me including some banks. So Buxfer is as good as it gets, it's just not great.

The functionality is generally good, just the app itself doesn’t seem to remember login details, Face ID doesn’t work.

The App for this paid service is clunky, not user friendly. Disappointing. The online version is a good resource for tracking expenses and spending habits but if I need to use the mobile version while away from my laptop I’m never happy about the experience. There are more than a few problems The app is a waste of time. It’s frustrating to use. It was $59 for the yearly Pro subscription that includes both the online and app. Not worth it. If you see any 5 stars from any of the other reviews assume the reviewer doesn’t understand that they are reviewing the app only and should not include their star rating for the online web version that is only usable on a desktop or laptop.

Easy to use and set up. Keeps you up to date on all spending and where you stand with your budget

I can not get past the RCAPTCHA. Mark the tiles and click verify and it always just brings up another one. This is in the app. Also have sync issues with our bank. Sync will work for a while then quit. I message them and after a quite a while it will work again, for a while, then it quits working.

Why on new update can’t upload attach file

It’s reliable and let me import all my Quicken transactions and I don’t have to worry about it since it’s in the cloud. The support is excellent and I’ve never seen a single bug in the program in the past year

I started using this app 1 year ago and it has made tracking my expenses. Love every single aspect of it!

It’s a predatory business practice. Its not an intuitive app so I didn’t use it after the first month. It’s a subscription I forgot about for years after I tried to cancel in 2019. I assume they exploit many others this way as well. Hopping on a real computer to cancel and delete my account. Don’t subscribe. Your budget will probably thank you for it in the long run.

Do not use this product. They no longer resolve support tickets, and more things are failing every day. This seems to be abandonware.
