Great idea, ridiculous cost
Right off the bat I can’t save one? Have to pay $20? Looked promising but I’m good. I don’t see the cross platform functionality that would justify the price.

I have used several others similar to this and it is overall the most useful and user friendly. I wish I found it earlier.
If you are one of those people who likes things to work exactly like you NEED them to work….this isn’t your app. The cards are too small. The mood board doesn’t let you put the cards where YOU want them. I’ve been fighting this app all weekend. Waste of money. This is an expensive app ~ that is basically a dumpster for info. Just drop it in. It’ll get all mushed up together ~ which is NOT the point of buying this app in the first place…..the OLD index card app was much better ~ I was able to write entire books using it. The background color options are blah too. I won’t be using.
I use this app to gather and organize ideas for my WordPress blog. I can quickly enter ideas/evidence/arguments on cards over a period of days, then arrange and rearrange them, make connections, find a structure, fill in gaps, delete redundancies, and do some crude polishing. Then I export all or selected cards to Ulysses Mobile on an iPad Pro as plain or markdown text in the linear sequence that I need. There I do final revising and editing, and publish to WordPress. I’ve tried several workflows for this writing and blog publishing process. Brainstorming using index cards has been one of the more successful.
App looks very cool. Love what you’ve done. One thing would be great/essential—can I share the outline with other so they can edit? Thanks!
This looks really good - I was excited… But then I discovered that you can’t save what you’re working on—you can’t USE it….until you pay $20. $20 seems too much for an index card app - and one in early development with clearly more functionality needed. (For example, you cannot even format text— fonts or colors or styles! No Apple Pencil support to write or sketch… ) I am sure it is challenging to launch a new app and I wish you the best but I wonder about the decision to not offer a USABLE free version – – even if for a limited time – limiting your audience. I appreciate your not going the abominable subscription route but for comparison Goodnotes - a much richer, deeper app in it’s V6 - is $30 lifetime….
And I can tell that it’ll only get better. Skip Cardflow +, Tidy Mind or anything made by Qrayon (they don’t support their apps) and buy Card Buddy instead!
haven't seen something like this! dream come true for organizing my mind and thoughts. similar function to mind-maps. would love to see it get more capabilities and grow. hope its not abandoned. hoping to buy soon still checking out some of the features. (questions: 1. what determines the direction the next and previous buttons go. It seems to be left to right then on to the next row at the end of that one. can it be set to go down and up the columns. 2. why are certain images cut off on the board view. why not have a feature that shows the whole image “fit to card” on the board? theres a few more questions and nitpicks I might come back with. thanks for sharing/selling this app)
I really love this app. I love the way the cards look when they are done, and how easy they are to make. It would be nice to have basic formatting…Bold, Italics, underline, the ability to highlight or even add color to words would be helpful.
PROS: -Great organization, streamlined look, great for character sheets, plotting, and setting mood boards! -Great free option to test out the app without paying and only asks for a one-time price to be able to save it, which in a monthly pay structure kind of world we live in now, it was refreshing! Still a bit more than I’d usually pay for a creative organization app, but it allows a lot of customizations -Inserting links and images into cards is soooo easy! Most apps would get the formatting all wrong, and this is one of the few index card apps that aren’t just studying flash cards but catered towards creatives who use index cards CONS/AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: -Not able to duplicate boards—so if I want to do another volume of plotting I have to recreate the template again. Why have samples if you can’t duplicate them or generate them as pseudo-templates (rather than having to start with different formats from scratch)? -Also not being able to duplicate cards themselves interrupts my creative workflow to copy and paste—which leads me to my next point: -The double-tap zoom out feature that’s built-into it—every time I want to select text and cut it to paste into another card I click the first word and then trying to drag select the passage, and it registers this action as a ‘double-tap’ and super zooms me out (so you can see whole board). I will admit, you can expand the card full screen and do this successfully, but the point of this app is for visual interface, and expanding and minimizing can trip up my creative process, which is what this whole app is about. It would be nice if this double-tap zoom out feature was disabled and offered as a customizable document setting instead! Hope the developers hear what I have to say and update this app with any of my suggested features, in which case I would edit my review!
