Card Crawl Adventure is a solitaire style roguelike deckbuilding card game.
In this single player card game you travel the world to visit cozy Taverns, play against devious monsters and loot shiny treasures.
By drawing a path across your cards you combine them to create powerful attacks and magical spells. Collect and improve your cards, equip powerful items and refine your strategy. Each character comes with its own cards and effects which will challenge your wit, courage and resourcefulness.
All adventures are randomly generated and every week you are invited to join the Weekly Tavern Crawl to compete with other adventurers around the world on a unique journey through the taverns of Card Crawl.

Best of the series so far!

A little more complex than the previous offerings, but once you’ve wrapped your head around it it’s easily the most dynamic game Mr Rauers has created!

Great game!

Not too complex! If you’re into MTG you can handle it. Smart and fun gameplay with a good balance of skill and chance.

Meh

I have bought and played every Card Crawl game, and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. That’s why getting this one was a no-brainer. Having said that, I’m disappointed with this game. It is needlessly complex and I have no idea what’s going on. Previous Card Crawl games were intuitive, and that’s where this one fails. I love the art, but the game play is far too complex and takes away from the enjoyment.

I don't get it.

Very well-made

I originally had a fairly critical review. After finding out that the developer is one guy with a passion for card games, I’m changing this review from a 4 to a 5. It was only a 4 because there are several parts of the game that I would prefer are faster and snappier. Here’s my original review: First: the name of the app doesn’t fit on the iPhone springboard. Big no-no. Have it appear as “Crawl” under the icon, not “CardCrawlAd…”. Second: everything is so slow. After finishing a turn, it took 15 seconds before I was able to do anything. During this time, I couldn’t look at quests, pause the game, inspect a card, or do anything else. Then after winning an adventure, you have to sit through the same goofy scene you’ve seen a dozen times, unable to skip it. Why? All in all, it’s a well-made game. It has a few bugs, particularly when selecting and deselecting cards. You can get into states that you shouldn’t be able to by selecting a card, deselecting it, and selecting another. But the production value was pretty good, and the cost for content was great. $3.99 for all characters is pretty reasonable in today’s mobile market. Good job.

I want credit for what I have done — this is critical to games like this

Fun strategy

I like strategy games like tower defense and puzzle type things, and I’ve avoided card games because I thought they’d be boring…but I like this a lot. No complaints about the randomness and difficulty because I’m sure it’s more satisfying when you actually get good and earn the wins. I have a question, though. Is there a way to have your character accumulate and save items and cards and upgrades for future adventures or do you start from base level every time you do a new adventure?

Beautiful to look at but shouldn’t have been a game

Great art but an absolute trash fire when it comes to balance. Utterly impossible to win most times.
