Carv Digital Ski Coach

Very fun, easy to use and good tricks.

Having Carv has helped me learn how to ski much faster and better. Teaching me correct habits and techniques in real time while giving applicable and digestible feedback. It’s easy to use and the interface is amazing. It’s like having a 1:1 coach with you at all times for a fraction of the cost.

It’s my third year using them, and I’m always renewing it. It helped me immensely with my skiing, bought me to a level of skiing I have had before. The exercises and metrics tell you what to focus on and you see yourself improving. There are things they can’t track and it’s still worth getting an instructor class every now and then. But you can go very far even without a private instructor

I click on a run… app says “loading run” and nothing else happens! I can see my run iQ but it gives me ZERO guidance on how that number was generated or how to improve it.

The product is great. The customer support is extremely frustrating. I was about to renew my subscription. There's one latter step requires information from email, which I didn't get. (While I did get emails from earlier steps, and I checked spam folder.) I reached out to the customer support, but they gave general steps to "start", which didn't answer how to deal with the missing email. I clarified the blocking step. And I got exact same copy-paste reply. I tried clarifying again but still got a very general answer, "You can easily update ... Just tap ...", which I already know. Now, the only option I have is stopping the subscription.

Skied a few days on the new Carv sensors without the foot bed insert. Seems to be giving an accurate analysis of my skiing and the new user interface on the Carv app is a huge improvement over the previous one I used last year. Much more intuitive to switch modes when you’re skiing, and provides a lot more data post skiing.

I hate that I’ve waited this long.

Carv2 software is constantly draining my phone in the background. Make it stop!

I’ve been fortunate to be a Carv user since the very early days. The first version of the sensor, while wildly accurate, required boot work to be comfortable. The new Carv 2 sensors, however are every bit as accurate and require nothing more than being clipped to the power straps on your ski boots. My new sensors arrived yesterday and I put them to the test today. They absolutely make Carv worth the investment and make skiing with a coach in your ear kinda fun.
