Checkout 51: Cash Back Savings

I recently tried to use one of their newer instant rebate offers which is considered a payment at checkout. Made sure to precisely follow instructions as I know how touchy these things can be on details. Get to the checkout and of course the barcode provided by the app doesn’t work. There is a code provided to reach out to customer service with if/when it doesn’t work. So I did after I checked out and was told I should have asked the cashier at self-checkout to figure out the Checkout51 app. Why would a store associate know how to run their app? That’s ludicrous! So customer service refused to help and I was left paying the full price. The app is a scam then in my opinion. Additionally, the coupons offered on other items are odd items that seem niche and either not a available nationwide or just really random that most people wouldn’t normally buy. So it will take years to save the minimum $20 to cash out. While on other apps you can cash out frequently and easily with the offerings. This app seems to be struggling to survive and is a complete waste of time with rude and unhelpful customer service.

This used to be a 4-star app with lots of deals. Now it offers very limited deals and I lose money before I can cash out. Guess I’ll delete this app and stick with Ibotta and Shopmium.

Fantastic site. I wish they get more traction and offers . They process the receipts fast and the site is very helpful. Try it!

This is by far the worst of the receipt apps. I have had it for 5 years and still have yet to reach minimum to cash out. Meanwhile I have cashed out over $100 in every other app. There’s always less than 10 offers available. As soon as I hit $20 I will cash out and delete.

I am not able to redeem gas receipts on my iPhone. I can add the offer for the gas no problem. I purchased within the 4 hour window and then went back into the app to upload the receipt. The app won’t load any screens. It just spins trying to load the info. After 24 hours I can login to my app no problem, but by then the offer can not be redeemed as it is past the deadline. I am so frustrated and disappointed by this. I am starting to think that this is done on purpose.

Wow, this has gone downhill for the past year or two. Takes forever to earn as the items are things no one would buy. Magazines? Then they deduct your money you have already earned after 6 months!! No thank you. Deleted the app as there are many others out there to make money.

Easy money just scan them receipts

Used to be decent products to choose from and now there are so few and always the same things. Never anything I would ever need or buy. Because of this, they started taking the money I earned back. I was over $30, now to $16 and can no longer even cash out, since they don’t let you cash out until you have $20. Might as well keep the rest of it because I’ll spend that much on products I won’t use to get nearly $4 back just to cash out. Don’t use this app, use Ibotta, Upside, ReceiptHog, Fetch, ReceiptJar, ReceiptPal, CoinOut, and Pogo, where you actually can earn money and keep it!
