Chilling: Horror Movies & More

I fail to see the point of pretending to offer a “free” app only to endlessly pester the user to pay for a subscription service in order to be able to use. While there might be some free content, I couldn’t find it; if I want endless ads, I’ll stick with YouTube. I don’t mind paying for a service, but please, say so up front.

Turned into a cash cow for the narrators. If you want to listen to a full series pay. You want to hear any story on some you have to pay. These are the same narrators that make money elsewhere. Word to the wise or naive of the ap. WE ARE NOT MADE OUT OF MONEY. Just sayin. Sad that this got ruined. Delete.

As much as I want to love this app it’s a bit of a downer that pretty much 90% of the content paywalled. I’m not saying they don’t deserve the money but there’s hardly anything to sample in the first place if someone isn’t sure if they’ll like all the various authors and such. It’s honestly a little sad to click on nearly anything and you can’t enjoy it without paying. I recall getting to listen to plenty at some point but now it’s all locked. Not sure how it happened but I guess it was nice while it lasted.

Idk why the app kicks me out and has me resign in every couple weeks to a month or so. Very annoying. Other than that app is fine.

Almost all the stories are behind a paywall, there’s no point in getting this app unless you plan on subscribing.

I’ve been listening for over 24 hours since downloading this app. (I’m off work and my child is with their dad for their time together. So I have nothing important to do and can keep an earbud in) I usually spend my downtime listening to my favorite podcasts and story channels on YouTube. I heard of this app thanks to ads and I rarely thank ads. Anyway, this will definitely be my go to pls e for my off days. The variety and quality is amazing. The subscription fee isn’t bad and I don’t have to listen to a single ad. I can fall asleep listening to stories as if I were still being read to as a child. The sleep timer is a great bonus. The ambient sounds one can choose from is wonderful for nighttime listening. I have zero complaints at this point. Edit: As I said, I’m new to this app. I just now discovered that I get to watch films as well! Yeah, this is a lot of bang for your buck. I’ll definitely be switching to a yearly subscription as soon as possible.

I love this app so much ever since I got it. It’s really cheap and tells amazing stories. You could pick the background noise. I love it. it’s the best thing when I’m working I’m alone all day and it gets me through the hardest part but recently every time I go to click on a story it will take me to the one underneath it even if I do it with my pinky, it’ll take me underneath it and then when I go queue a story, it won’t be in there. It’ll go onto another one, but I have no interest in sometimes in that time and I have the background noise on low and when I exit the app and turn off my phone it’ll get really loud louder than it and I have to restart the app. It’s the other two that really annoy me because I don’t have time to be messing with my phone I just want to get to work, but those issues are make me want look for a new app, but I really really love this app and I think maybe if I told you guys you guys could look into it because it’s something that maybe you guys could fix really easily

The app used to be free and it was great! Now all of a sudden almost all of the stories are locked unless you pay for a subscription. You really did that hoping to get people hooked then at that point when you lock everything you hope they just purchase a plan to continue listening to their stories.

Update: I like what is available content-wise. I do wish this was a bit user friendlier?? I’d like the ability to listen to the one narrator or maybe a cluster of stories from them?? I figured out how to search by narrator however when you push play, it goes on to play stuff from different narrators in a queue I am afraid to try to access for fear of having to do the search yet again for the same narrators of choice.. I get the whole exposure to other voices n writers but I’d like to ability to just listen to 1 person if one desires. Thanks for having this awesome app! I love the app so far. I know it’s just starting so the content isn’t as large but it’s still a pretty decent selection of voices. Only thing I’d like to change is the ability to save by artist instead of only episodes. :) LOVING the app! Can’t wait to see how it blooms
