Good but not coercitive enough
Addiction could be solved by preventing users to open apps more than a given number of times. Since the app currently allows the user to override any limitation, its efficiency is much lower than expected.
Absolutely brilliant
I don’t write reviews often, but this app is just exactly what I’ve been looking for.
I use my phone a lot more mindfully now.
Big big thank you to the creators of this app!!
I can’t believe this app isn’t more popular.
So far so good
Downloaded clearspace to help with my instagram addiction. I saw an ad on instagram for it. So far it’s been working! My mindless scrolling is down a lot over the last day.
Great concept, buggy app
I love this in theory but it kept getting stuck on screens and wouldn’t let me do the actual breathing exercises. I would pay for it if it worked more consistently but that’s a lot of money for an app that has pretty frequent bugs.
Effective
The only thing that has actually helped me stop scrolling. I use the challenges for the exercise. And the optional redirect I wish had more options. Like a longer breathing exercise.
game changer for Instagram addiction
This is the only app that makes me more mindful about my excessive Instagram use. It keeps me from mindlessly scrolling. Plus I like the inspirational messages. I feel good about spending the money to go premium. I feel like this can change my life and habits for the better to make me more fully present.
Great to break the habit!
I found myself overriding the built-in Apple screen time blocker multiple times a day The 15 minute limit I set would turn into one to two hours on Instagram. This finally broke that habit!
Overall pretty good except a few things
I think this app is a great app. Over the last week after downloading, it has really helped me. I think it is an effective way to help stop being social media all the time. I would suggest for them to add a setting to stop all of your selected apps for certain hours of the day. My only complaint is that I wish they would allow you to go off a monthly subscription option. After my free trial ended, I would have liked to be able to have premium for another month. With school starting up soon, I will be busy, so I don’t see myself needing the app as much after that. I don’t want to pay $60 if I won’t use it’s premium features for that long. Overall good and effective app. Just wish it would have a monthly subscription option.
LIFE CHANGING, but too expensive for multiple apps
I absolutely love this app, it’s gotten me off instagram except for when I want to be on instagram. It’s not restricting, it’s just adding mindfulness. You can still go on the app as many times as you want within a day, for up to an hour at a time, but you just get to take a breath first before the addiction takes over and you don’t even know how you ended up spending hours mindlessly scrolling.
HOWEVER, that’s only for one app. And then it’s a mind boggling $60 for more apps. You could make more/the same money with more people doing a smaller subscription. I would think about $3-$5 a month! $60 is a big NEVER for me
