This app from Libre Office is an excellent alternative to MS Office and Google Docs/Sheets. It works very well on the iPad and has more features than Google. Another plus, you only need to install one app to have access to the entire office suite, which saves space on your device. I highly recommend this app!

I was trying to edit a DOCx document in Pages but it was not opening it properly because of the missing fonts, and then I spent a lot of days to install fonts but Pages failed to open the docx document in its actual style. Since Pages didn’t work with it, I searched for many options in App Store and I found many other programs including MS office which was pretty expensive and then I finally found this app which simply opens the DOCX document in the same style as it opens in a PC and it let me edit, and it also let me save that as PDF or many other different formats. So this is amazing app. BIG thank you to developer.

Great idea, but it’s buggy, unusable, and keeps crashing.

This is a great but I make a lot of presentation (I downloaded it to get a compact version of Libreoffice) but I can’t change background as it crashes when I select any photo from Photo Library or Files. Also it is not at all a compact version of Libreoffice

UPDATE: the latest version seems to support the complex characters well. Updated the rating accordingly. This is the best free open source Office for the iPad. This is a good app if you want the familiar interface of LibreOffice on the iPad but it doesn’t support typing with complex characters (such as the on screen Tamil keyboard). Also there is a noticeable lag between typing the characters and the feedback leading to frustrating errors at times. However in terms of interface and features this is really the best free/open source office tool for iOS. This app requires a bit more polish to become a real productivity office suite for iOS devices.

Hi Collabora team App has great potential but where it lacks the fluidity while working with spreadsheet, documents or power point.Its a good viewer but many miles to go when it comes to editing or creating new sheets or documents
