ColorSnap® Match

Not worth downloading. Figured out how to find the colour but not able continue to see what it would look like in a room. Total waste of time. Developer needs to have simple drop down menus for taking a picture. Then select paint colour. Then combine.

After we bought several of these for our employees they updated their software to only show their own paint colours (never was that way before). Now you can’t get a close enough match. So they are all useless to use. Pure garbage!

It was only AFTER I downloaded, installed and created an account that it was disclosed that I would need to purchase a device. Pretty shady way to obtain my email. I do not recommend this at all!

We used the app in our house to get a paint match for a fence- three of us downloaded the app on our phones and agreed on the same matching colour. When we went to pick up the paint it was a bright yellow instead of the light brown we had agreed on. I’m not sure if it is the match function or the paint samples are wrong but the app definitely did not work for us. It it is not even close. If you want a $80 gallon of unused paint let me know!

The first thing the app store should do is warn you that you need to pay for a device first.

The app is easy to use, you have the ability to name and save each scan. Should have purchased this device years ago. Yes, you need to purchase the colour scan device from Sherwin Williams but this is the only way to detect the colours accurately a camera just can’t accomplish this due to the colours in the ambient light. Good job everyone.

Why can't the app just use the iPhone camera to scan? You need to buy a special device to connect to the iPhone. That should be made clear before someone wastes their time downloading the app and giving you their email address to create an account (what a scam way to hoover up people's email addresses for your own marketing—you should be ashamed).

Terribly designed app. Very confusing to use. Would not recommend

Dislike the updates to this app. Prefer the previous version where you could search for a color name or select a color name, then see the similar colors around it. Now if I’m trying to find a color I have to guess which category SW has decided to put it in and search through many of them to hopefully find the color I want.
