D-Link Wi-Fi

A buggy app that seems to be a superb time waster. For one, the percentages shown during installation are simple timers that do not actually communicate with the units or track the install process. The app apparently just hopes that whatever needs to occur will have happened in the time allotted - in other words, a guess. So even if there is a problem or nothing is happening, you get to wait the predefined amount of time until the percentage hits 100% to find out. Another issue is that the the installation process spontaneously restarts without warning, returning to a screen with a task that has already been performed. Seems more like hopeware than software.

Great little app. Does what it says it does in a simple and easy way. Super clean and intuitive interface. Configured my range extender in a couple of minutes. Good job!

i tried so many times to connect via app . i don't know how to connect it its failed all the time

This is probably one of the worst app I have ever used on a router. This has is own mind when it will work and when it won’t.

Seems my reviews keep disappearing so no point writing all my issues out. This app is so slow. Can be standing right beside router(3040) and it says I am not close enough. Continually says it does not have access to local network even though it takes me to my settings where it always says it does. The mesh(1755) extender early works. Have to turn power of to main router at least once a day to get Wi-Fi back up on extender, even though all lights are green and it says it is working. App continually says network is down when it is not. And if I hit repair network, that usually takes forever and I end up have to shut power off to get things working again. Signal is greatly affected by local electronics. This router is in same place as all my previous routers, but performs the worst. Seriously considering going back to my tplink ac1900(6years old) as it provides better coverage than this router and extender combined. Alexa and echo devices drop out regularly. My daughter went from Loving her Alexa light to hating it now. I was stupid and bought this on sale, finale sale. Otherwise I would have returned long ago. I waste 30 minutes every day resetting and trying to get all my devices to stay on line. App is so slow.

Not easy to setup. Success = use the Method Two. Use the App and get registered before starting setup DAP-1820. It works fine.
