Daikin Comfort Control

There is no option to reset a forgotten password in the app. There is no direction for a website to visit to help in resetting the password. This issue renders your account useless. Seems like a very simple fix. The other app ‘Daiken One Home’ has this feature but does not support my controller. Please either support password help. Or, configure the the Daiken One Hame app to support all controllers.

Don’t walk… RUN away from Daikin. Absolutely ZERO service. No knowledge by reps. Flawed APP interface.

This is the worse app ever trying to connect to my mini split, with so many negatives, would think they would try to fix. Horrible experience!

Getting it set up has been beyond terrible. I’m dreading now having to use it based on these reviews.

Can’t keep contact with head unit. Must log in every time. The only useful thing is being able to read the indoor and outdoor temp sensors. Coders or someone should be fired for this nearly useless app. Why can’t my new model mini split use one of the other daikin apps?

After spending 2 hours with it I gave up.

This app is so awful that it should be criminal. It doesn’t function at all half the time, and when it does, you have to login “out of home,” and send the control signals through Daikin’s cloud service because the app doesn’t function locally. The auto login function doesn’t work, making it even more frustrating. I have had to reinitialize the app multiple times per month for it to work at all. It silently fails. It fails loudly. It fails in every way possible. The good news is that the Wi-Fi dongles that make Daikin units available on your network can be interacted with directly with a straightforward API. There are tools out there, including open source ones, that let you control your system reliably. But it’s not easy to set up and you have to be pretty technical. It’s a disgrace that Daikin thinks that this app offers an acceptable customer experience. Shame on you, Daikin.

The app when from quick local access to only remote access which make is useless if you internet is out. Also the servers that respond for their out of home are very slow which compounds the problem. Control of items should not require outside internet access.

The app is slow, crashes a lot, is not as intuitive as Ecobee. I am so frustrated that I did not know I had to switch to this garbage with the new system. They don’t even have remote sensors yet. What an awful product line.

The app is worthless. Have been trying to make it work for years. Next time I will buy another brand.
