I recently purchased the DDPai dashboard camera, and I must say that the camera itself is quite impressive. However, my overall experience with the accompanying app, called DDPai, has been rather frustrating. Let's start with the positives. The camera quality is excellent, capturing clear and detailed footage. It has definitely met my expectations in terms of performance and functionality. Unfortunately, the app has been a source of annoyance for me. Every time I connect the camera to the app, it bombards me with a multitude of unnecessary questions. It asks for shared GPS access, encourages saving data on their cloud service, and sends numerous notifications that I consider to be of little value. The most frustrating aspect, however, is the app's tendency to clutter my photo library. After each camera connection, it adds around 30 empty albums to my photo library. It takes me a good 3-4 minutes every time to remove this unnecessary clutter. This issue seriously hampers the user experience and feels like a glaring oversight. Furthermore, I have noticed that when downloading a video from the app, it unnecessarily duplicates the video file. Additionally, it sometimes downloads photos that were not requested, adding to the confusion and inconvenience. Overall, while the DDPai dashboard camera itself is commendable, the app leaves much to be desired. The excessive questioning upon camera connection, the creation of empty albums, and the issue with duplicate files and unintended photo downloads significantly detract from the overall user experience. I hope the developers can address these issues in future updates to make the app more user-friendly and streamlined.

Unable to connect dashcam to WiFi on iPhone after software update. Please help or fix bugs

Just an utter waste.. from cam to the app. Been using (or rather trying to use it) for last month or so.. not even worth a single star!?!

Wasted money on ddpai dash cam. This app isn’t working since a year. I don’t understand why apple keeps apps which don’t work. Useless Chinese camera and its buggy app. Im gonna have to burry their product. I request apple to ban this app and abandon it completely. Ive lost money on their product FYI fixed know issues? Why ios device cant connect to your camera? People watch out scammers also in app store. Its been long time camera wont connect to ur phone. Beware. Stop buying DDpai dashcams. Its a scam. Spread these news. Also apple should remove their pathetic app
