Decibel Meter is an app intended for objective, real-time measurement of ambient noise and sound levels. It is intended for noise pollution control with the aim to protect the health of its users. The app displays quantitative noise level values in decibels using various measurements both in numerical and graphical form.
The app also features a fully functional noise level meter to measure the user’s noise exposure over a period of time according to NIOSH and OSHA (to be chosen by the user).

Accuracy?
I’ve tried three decibel meter apps, this app is very consistent….and 20 decibels below the other two. Is it the accurate one? Don’t know, all that’s confirmed is that it measures lower that the others by 20db. For me that’s the wrong direction for error.
Not my favorite
This gives readings that aren’t very reflective of the environment. It doesn’t catch surges in sound, and gives readings of 40 db when there is no sound. Don’t waste your money.
Simple design, but innacurate
Downloaded the app because I was curious about how loud I could scream. Opened it, and it took me directly to the reader, but when I yelled it only went up to 70. It didn't even recognize the sound of my screams half the time.
Love the simplicity
The title says it all. Open the app and it immediately shows the decibels. That’s all I need. Love it.
Reall good
Originally purchased for simple curiosity, for a one time use only, but the app has provided an unexpected benefit and now I use it almost every day both at home and at work.
Really nice job
This is the only sound monitoring app I use on any phone because all the other ones out there are garbage. This one is accurate and extremely easy to use.

Well app
Thanks to this app I can tell when certain pieces of equipment are running properly, because even a small difference of 10-15 dB can be significant.
Great app
This is the app that lets me know that my roommate will talk at 80 decibels or more when he wants to make a point. Thanks to it he can no longer deny it.
